As a longtime devotee of Law and Order SVU this story was my gateway to Carmen Maria Machado s work It sucked me in and I have never looked back Written as a series of episode summaries Especially Heinous begins like a Wikipedia page quicky spiraling into the macabre exploring a side of Benson and Stabler you won t see on NBC Part fanfiction part dark fantasy this genre bending story is one I come back to again and again English Completely unlike anything I ve ever read before It was incredible English SVU meets Twin Peaks English 4.
