Secrets in bloodborne Nicola Angliatti is one of the vampires who enforces the law to never feed from humans He is visiting America when he comes across a young girl alone and scared in the forest Neither Nicola nor the young girl aware that she is being used the extremists are using her as bait to draw out any vampire in the area Evangeline is no longer a young girl when she finds the vampire that helped her years earlier now in chains and tortured in the place she calls home. Secrets in blood book I loved this story Patricia s character development is so natural everything feels right No decisions or choices by the characters feel like they are manipulated by the author and so are unnatural for the character Evangeline s development is one of my favourite character developments She s grown up being taught by religious extremists and her struggle to trust vampires including Nicola is something that doesn t just happen overnight but she knows right from wrong whether that person is human or vampire This story is full of action and attraction but that s not all it is about Evangeline has tough decisions to make and she is a heroine worthy of anyone s time.
