I made the mistake of reading the latest and best books by this author first Now I am going back to his early novels and wondering why His first novel Chaos was actually pretty good but the next in line Ice Storm is a nightmare of convoluted plot confusing supposedly interacting story line laughable character back story I think this is self published otherwise an editor would have hold him to cut the garbage and some of the hilariously worst dialogue written by a 10th grader That said I finished the novel because I hear the third in the series is much better Here s hoping Thriller Science Fiction Fantasy David Meyers Ice Storm is second in his Cy Reed Adventures Chaos the first entry by Meyers into his series was a page turner however Ice Storm is even a little better The protagonist Cy Cyclone Reed is a disillusioned archaeologist turned treasure hunter who is shunned by his fellow archaeologists for betraying the very idea of that profession If you enjoy Clive Cussler most likely you will also like David Meyer. Ice storm reversible scratchers Certainly Ice Storm is a little over the top in spots but it has a beast of impossible origins that unleashes a bloody rampage across the ice so it can not be all bad Once again our protagonist is looking for a potential germ warfare weapon created by a Nazi scientists a la Indian Jones which is capable of destroying the world except of course the Aryan race Cy is determined to find the Amber Room and Cy s discovering a lost laboratory battling a mysterious man eating beast and exploring lost frozen Nazi lairs keeps interest building The book is fast paced and full of surprises David Meyer does keep you guessing For those of you who love action novels and thrillers I do recommend Ice Storm the Cy Reed Adventures Give them a try Thriller Science Fiction Fantasy Not badNeeds some work It s a little disjointed I enjoyed the plot but it wasn t an easy read because it didn t flow Thriller Science Fiction Fantasy I m the author of Ice Storm the second book in the Cy Reed Adventure series It s an action adventure novel along the lines of Indiana Jones or novels by the likes of Clive Cussler James Rollins Steve Berry or Douglas Preston Check it out Thriller Science Fiction Fantasy Great story The book was well written and the action flowed constantly which kept my attention I almost read it in one sitting but I got too sleepy Lol Thriller Science Fiction Fantasy
