I couldn t put this down as you can see I read this in one day it begins with what I thought was going to be a straight forward love story and then chapter six slaps me in the face with a twist I did not expect the story then drifts off into a darker grittier last half which actually explores the very real and very common issue of domestic violence I really enjoyed reading this the protagonist Leia is very likeable and I loved the interplay between her and Heath My only criticism would be that I spotted a few grammatical errors in the text and also this is just my personal preference I wanted from the sexy scenes But that s just me Good For Nothing When I picked up Good For Nothing I knew one thing it was a genre and style I don t typically read What I didn t know was how much I would enjoy it It has great pacing with a few twists and turns that make it feel fresh A debut from the author Lucy Onions whom I recommend for further enjoyable exciting reads Good For Nothing Not my usual type of book but I genuinely did enjoy it I found it very interesting and I was engaged throughout I did think that it was going to be a straightforward love story but there was a plot turn that kept me engaged The main characters were generally very pleasant if not a little too sweet However the introduction of Ivan the main antagonist threw a completely different light on affairs He was a truly repugnant person one who is sadly to commonly real in today s world Emotions ran freely throughout the story and I really did connect with Leia to the point I really didn t want anything unpleasant to happen to her and I was rooting for her at the end My only slight gripe is with the Police force who I felt were just too damn nice particularly when dealing with the grittier part of the story I would have liked them to be a little harder edged.
