A very cute story and must read for parents of those with children with long hair I well remember getting The Snarls as a child and this is a great story for kids Who knows maybe it will even make it easier to get them to brush their hair or allow you to brush it for them One can hope right Its the perfect length to read right before bed or possibly even while brushing that tangly hair English THE SNARLS A Hair Combing StoryAuthor Becca PriceGenre Children s BookPublisher www. Book The snarls definition This was a cute story about Snarls Being a person who grew up with waist length hair I knew a lot of Snarls in my youth Now they have made their home in my granddaughters hair She loved the story as much as I did English An absolutely adorable story Having once been a little girl with long thick wavy hair I wish this had been around thirty years ago to spare my dear long suffering mother from the defiant howls and pouting fits that preceded every brushing Ugh that poor woman I shudder just thinking about it English The Snarls They live on pillows and in the wind just waiting to move into long fine or curly hair And when they move in they make nests and snarls and nests But they also have their natural enemies a comb a brush and the dreaded Detangler spray This story makes hair combing of difficult hair not only enjoyable but a silly experience This book includes five charming full color illustrations The Snarls a hair combing story Illustrated This is a delightful story that personifies the Snarls and Tangles that creep into messy hair Lots of little kids are going to be able to relate this cute tale to their own struggles Heck the next time I have tangled hair I am going to think of it myself. The snarling book The story manages to get the message across without scolding Snarls love dirty hair Your parents aren t out to torment you they are driving away the settlements of Snarls when they break out the works combs brushes soap and detanglers At no point does the author shake their literary finger at the listener and tell them to comb and wash next time Instead the story gently reinforces the idea I liked that. The Snarls kindle direct It s a shame this is not illustrated but that s fine the story is meant to be read aloud In fact that s how I read this out loud to an eager listener The author has filled the short story with so much alliteration and assonance that it reads like poetry By varying the speed and emphasis during the reading you can really have a lot of fun. The snare shop It was a weekend night Friday or Saturday which I remember because the bath night ritual wasn t rushed as per usual I d just gotten out of the tub and my mom was patiently drying my hair expertly juggling the blow dryer and comb trying to work out the tangles and knots as she went She did my hair for me until I was well into the double digits There was too much to tame on my own The situation became so untenable that she even resorted to bribery in a failed attempt to get me to cut it I must have been fidgeting because before I knew it the blow dryer was hanging from my head motor forever silenced and reeking of burnt hair Long story short the older boy from next door disassembled the dryer while my mom held it in the air so that it wouldn t pull painfully at my hair I believe that a pair of scissors was also involved Embarrassing enough on its own this incident was only magnified my the huge crush I harbored on said boy and for many years after that I m still scarred So when I spotted Becca Price s The Snarls A Hair Combing Story on Library Thing my interest was piqued I ve been fighting the good fight against tangles and snarls my whole life While I had expected a child s picture book The Snarls is like a short story the updated edition of which features illustrations The story s kind of cute and imaginative though probably so for a younger reader than I telling of how Snarls with a little help from their cousins the Tangles gather in families communities and societies setting up shop on a curly haired child s head only to be defeated by their arch enemies Combs Water Conditioner and Detangler lists the length of this book as 14 pages but only 6 pages of this belong to the story itself with 5 illustrations spaced throughout It s easily readable on a Kindle For kids whose hair seems to fight them at every turn The Snarls may provide some levity to what can sometimes be a frustrating situation. Book The snarls salon info 2014 03 09 English This book has a table of contents and it is 23 pages long The main characters are the Snarls the Tangles a person s hair and scalp and the person s parents The story takes place inside outside and on a person s hair The problem happens when Snarls and Tangles have made their home in someone s hair The solution is that parents use combs brushes shampoo conditioner and water to get them out The protagonists are parents and the antagonists are the Snarls and Tangles They need a home and a place to reproduce but parents want to keep their children clean and well Pages 17 21 reference books by Price and pages 22 23 are about the author and the illustrator English Made me laugh And as the mom of an 8 year old who would prefer to never ever brush her long hair making me laugh about the snarls is a Good Thing English
