Book the adventures of phineas frakture frankenstein Mr Frakture is a gentle scientist wanting nothing but to spend time on his experiments and books who is hit by Ms Adventure and her willy ways The book is split into four seemingly separate storylines adventures suitable I imagine to a comic book but the written form has given Mr Frakture the opportunity to expand his personality if not his interests and develop from a slightly misanthropic figure at the beginning to a loveable genius towards the end I would have wished him to be a bit complicated and I don t knowcleverer but the humour and his three supportive characters captivated me I do however have a problem with the villains I mean. Art The Adventures of Phineas frakturer our hero cannot not deserve all the credit since the police and the Imperial forces are stupid gullible and a bit naive The scenarios read a bit forced from this point of view as Mr Frakture appears to have it a bit easy being surrounded by incompetents I would have liked it to be a tad difficult for him to foil their not so complicated plans I suppose the Atlantis adventure is the only one a bit developed but even then the focus is on Phineas and not on the dire situation of the Atlants who themselves do not act as if they are in any great danger I suppose my main quibble is that Mr Fraktur sails through all these adventures and does not appear to be touched by them His courage is circumstantial as it were I would hope this to be a first draft of what could be a great series with a great set of characters and a good background story I hope Mr Gatch has such intentions and I look forward to reading such a series The Adventures of Phineas Frakture I suppose in the interests of full disclosure I should mention that I was acquainted with Phineas Frakture in his New Babbage days Though I m sure he d rather I couldn t say that Sheesh ya shoot a guy one time In my defense he was a zombie at the time No matter how much he denies it The point is the Phineas Frakture in this book is the one I knew the coffee fanatic genius or the genius coffee fanatic who fell into adventures through his own cluelessness as often as not but somehow managed to work his way out of them successfully So it was a treat for me to read this book and come along on adventures with him and his friends These are stories of equal parts action and humor with recognizable and clever references to pop culture of yesterday and today.
