This book could have been 5 stars but the ending absolutely sucked I can t believe I spent all that time reading this book and that s how it ended So disappointed I m hoping that we get a glimpse of what happened with Tyler Liz in the next book It really wasn t a cliffhanger the story just stopped I loved the first book in this series and actually enjoyed the majority of this book The characters were great and love how the author rounded off Shane Emma s story Guess I will wait til Series of Imperfections to see how the story goes Imperfectly Real A Series of Imperfections 2 As the saying goes if you really love someone set them free if they return it was meant to be This story reminds me of just this Tyler realizes he always did love Liz but she is married with a child now When they meet up he realizes how unhappy she really is He also discovers she feels the same way about him Tyler cones to terms that she has to make her own decisions knowing her while life was dealt to her by her mother He comes to terms with this and sets her free He only wants her to be happy and that is true love While it may take months and months to even hear from her his thoughts are still consumed of her She has decisions to make and he is willing to give her the space she needs to really make herself happy Some wise advice given to Tyler by his father that he will always keep close to him. Imperfectly realkiyaaa Liz comes to visit Emma and the guys out of the blue Yes they are all still living together along with Emma and Shane s son Felix Liz if you read the first book is a carbon copy of Emma s mother snooty judgmental seemingly perfect etc She comes to visit though and even Tyler can see that she appears to be broken The just adorable gooey chocolate inside of Tyler that makes him amazing works to help Liz even at the expense of himself Thus begins their secret relationship though different people slowly find out as the months move forward I had trouble with this since Tyler had been on the opposite side along with Emma when she had been cheated on I don t think that is ever the answer even if Liz s husband does end up being nowhere near a stellar guy Tyler and Liz slowly build on the memories and barely there relationship that they had in the past For some reason I had a difficult time really connecting to them I wanted Tyler to find someone so badly and I absolutely loved him Andto be honest once I knew Liz s story my heart broke for her too I want her to find herself and I want her to find happiness I guess I m not convinced yet that that includes one another Their story is not over yet however so I guess we will have to see what happens with them Hopefully they will make an appearance in Rob s story because I need to know if they make it Imperfectly Real A Series of Imperfections 2 Really a 3 1 5 star readWe met and fell in love with Tyler in Imperfectly Perfect book 1 in the series Check out my review at Now it s time for his story Tyler has a lot of things going for him He is unattached but can get a girl whenever he needs one He has a job in the field he wants He lives in NYC with his best friends and 2 of his closest friends just fell in love and had a baby that he completely adores Life isn t perfect though Of his roommates he makes less and struggles the most with money He just got passed up for a rookie when ESPN came to talent scout His last girlfriend drained his savings and he ll never allow a woman to do that again He just feels like something is off or missing in his life much like Emma did in IP When Emma s sister Liz comes to stay with the gang for a weekend Tyler knows something is up Liz doesn t visit and her relationship with Emma has always been strained Even he doesn t know what to make of the girl that he looked at like a little sister growing up While Emma Shane and Tyler were always close Tyler was the one that also felt responsible for Liz After they left for college his younger brother told him stories about how Liz had become the mean girl It didn t fit with the kid he knew before and it wasn t fitting with the woman she was now When the group decided to take Liz out for a night of drinking and dancing sparks flew between Liz and Tyler As much as he tried to prevent it they ended up having sex in the bathroom at the club The he learned about Liz s life and how unhappy she was the Tyler wanted to save her Every time they got together though they would end up having sex and not much else Tyler loves her and wants to be together but Liz is adamant that she wouldn t leave her husband regardless of how she feels Tyler can t talk to anyone about this and starts to lose it Everything blows up at Shane and Emma s wedding and the fallout is unexpected I feel like I need to start off by saying that I absolutely loved Imperfectly Perfect which is book 1 in this series It set high expectations for this series that I don t think this book quite lived up to I m not sure how to describe Tyler He was sexy selfless but also frustrating I know this kind of infidelity thing happens all the time but this was one of the worst examples This didn t feel like a romance We spent the ENTIRE book watching Tyler pine for a woman that pushed him away constantly I m sure there are people that find Liz likeable but I wasn t one of them I get that she had a crazy mother and I also get that she had traumatic events that took place in her teens but she tortured Tyler and she had options that she refused to take What made this story worthwhile The gang Like I said I fell in love with them in book 1 and it carried over Seeing of the interaction was the only thing that got me through this book Everybody called Tyler out on his depressing attitude and seeing it was hilarious.
