Book Heir to greyladies free online literally couldn t put this book down and lost sleep but it was worth it English Harriet and Joseph Well another fab book from Anna it s a books dreams are made of a maid inheriting a big house complete with ghosts and also having the man she loves living in this house but it s not all plain sailing there is mystery intrigue and attempted rape but a book well worth reading 5 STARS English This is not one of my favourites from this author I found the story a bit silly however if you like story s with a hint of the paranormal you might like this English

The start of another Anna Jacobs trilogy In the first instalment we meet Harriet After the sudden death of her father Harriet is left at the mercy of her greedy step mother Winifred and lecherous step brother Norris After Norris tries to attack her Harriet is sent away to work as a maid in a grand country house It is here she meets Joseph the youngest son of the family Joseph is crippled and though he can walk he uses a wheelchair to get to long distances Harriet and Joseph bond over their love of books and reading with Joseph acting as her tutor But along with what seems to be a sweet budding friendship even a romance dark forces linger Winifred continues to use her power as Harriet s guardian and claims almost all her wages for her own Joseph s older brother gets himself into debt losing a large chunk of his family s fortune In order to save face and gets money sometimes tense others funny I especially enjoyed the last few pages involving the women of the village I can t wait to pick up book two and see what new adventures await Harriet and Greyladies English Harriet es una joven hu rfana de 15 a os que a la merced de su madrastra y su hijo quien ha intentado forzarla en varias ocasiones En vez de permitirle seguir estudiando por una beca que ha ganado gracias a sus meritos acad micos la obligan a trabajar para quitarle su sueldo Cuando la madrastra se entera de la fijacion de su hijo envia a Harriet como sirvienta en una casa en las afuera de la ciudad donde conoce a Joseph Durante varios a os comparten el amor por la lectura y se hacen buenos amigos Debido a un problema de salud Joseph para la mayor parte de su tiempo en una silla de ruedas Sus padres intentan conseguirle una esposa con dinero para asegurarle un futuro ya que su hermano mayor es el heredero de la disminuida fortuna familiar y de la casa donde vive Inesperadamente Joseph se independiza de su familia y Harriet temerosa de que la devuelvan a su casa lo sigue Ambos se sorprenden al enterarse que Harriet ha heredado una propiedad en Greyladies de parte de la familia de su madre Mientras que la madrastra y el hermanastro la persiguen para quedarse con todo hay un hermoso romance nacido de la amistad 4 A OS y el respeto NOTA salvo la mencion del intento de violacion es una lectura muy sana English LovelyAnna Jacobs is the Queen of the rags to riches Cinderella type of book Her bad guys are pretty awful but the wicked stepmother is always present in one character The good thing is you know it will all turn out happily ever after I needed a break from the historical horrors of war and the ongoing one in the real world This was just like a soothing cup of chamomile tea with mint before bedtime that I really needed English A very sweet story I really enjoyed it A young woman living a Cinderella life with sour family members wanting to destroy it love and of course ghosts I definitely recommend it English Harriet s father dies at the worst possible moment Unfortunately that leaves her in the care of her greedy stepmother Her stepbrother is evil and he has awful plans for and with Harriet Instead of continuing her education Harriet has to go into service which means she can escape him as long as she s employed She finds a job at the big Danton House The owners have a crippled son Joseph Soon Joseph and Harriet are becoming friends When Harriet s situation is about to change again Joseph is there to accompany her but will she ever be able to feel safe from her evil stepmother and stepbrother Heir to Greyladies is a wonderful story about a very sweet girl who hasn t had much luck in life That might change because of Greyladies Harriet is such an amazing main character she s kind loving and helpful and she doesn t deserve to be treated appallingly Joseph is equally lovable but his family doesn t see it I constantly felt for him as he has so much to offer It was such a joy to read about their friendship They ve been brought to life so well that I had the idea I could see and hear them which made me love this novel even . Heir to Greyladies book 2 Anna Jacobs knows how to write a story I enjoyed reading this book very very much I m glad there are Geyladies books I highly recommend this heartwarming and romantic novel It ends with a great cliffhanger which given how good the rest of the story already is is the cherry on the cake I can t praise this book enough I liked it a lot English .
