Hidden icons The story is written in third person following multiple characters On the bad side the reader gets a rough idea of the hierarchy through Tony You know he is involved with the shady dealings but you re not so clear about Gunner or the big boss Gunner is the spokesperson for the big boss Tony is smart with computers and can do things that most people cannot He gets himself into a little bit of trouble at the beginning where we first meet him On the good side we have the local police and FBI Walker and Munoz are the main characters for this part They have experience working with abduction cases and must put their heads together to find Eric The FBI and local police get along rather well as opposed to other stereotypes that the FBI pushes the local police out of the way Although the Allen s are the center part of the story the reader doesn t see much of them throughout the book There are also a few other characters that play a role in this crime The plot moves along well Although you knew who was behind the actual kidnapping you were unsure of the other people involved Even though the story was about child pornography a touchy subject there were not many details on the actual events that would cause any discomfort to the reader Without saying too much I was surprised at the ending I did wish we got a few pages that wrapped things up in detail The last ten or so pages felt a little rushed I also wanted to know a little about what happened with the Allen s I won t say to avoid spoilers. Literature fiction hidden gems Overall I enjoyed the book If you like mystery suspense novels then you might want to try this book Hidden A Novel of Suspense Hidden A Novel of Suspense was written by Thomas Hall It is an attention grabbing book Once you start you can t put it down The characters are definitely realistic and resemble people you have known in your life The plot seems straight forward but they twist and turn like crazy It is like a ball of yarn that just keeps unrolling Jonathan Allen was very troubled and was having nightmares again He had started having these when his wife was beaten then run over by a hit and run driver With no witnesses her case was never solved Jonathan was totally demolished and finally entered therapy where he was making headway He began to see that he was neglecting his work himself and his son Jerry Hanson was a volunteer on the program which allowed lawyers to give up their time to be public defenders It was his first time to be called up The judge did not allow the DA to add the child pornography charges to the first one but did say that if he was picked up later he would be arraigned the next morning When they arrived the next morning the judge had been changed because the first judge had been robbed and beaten the night before Through the jury overhearing something the judge said a mistrial was called and Tony was free Shortly after Eric Allen was kidnapped from school His father was frantic but was convinced Detective Munoz was doing his best to find Eric In the process Munoz called the FBI in for assistance and fully expected them to take control but Agent Craig Walker liked to use cooperation with local forces so they worked together to find Eric Can they find him before he is harmed Does Tony Sarno have anything to do with his abduction The plot seems to be straightforward but it turns and twists back upon itself As one part is solved another is put in its place Hidden A Novel of Suspense REVIEWI found the book HIDDEN to be very interesting book The author did a good job of describing the characters The use of grammar and language suit the book to a T You would think that there would be some very explicit details of language and scenes but the author dealt with that and yet was able to make the characters seem real From page one to the end you are riveted to the book unable to let go for fear you d miss something The pages didn t turn fast enough You just kept hoping that it wasn t too late to accomplish the rescue The story is centered around Jonathan Allen and his son Eric Jonathan s wife had been murdered Jonathan became numb and paid little attention to the grief his little boy was dealing with He was working on trying to be a better father when Eric was kidnapped at school A calm and competent detective Dave Munoz takes on the case even though he didn t like this kind of crime He was the only detective on the Stanfield Police Department With all his expertise in solving cases he feels the need to bring in the FBI Agent Craig Walker joins in the search for Eric The detective and the agent discovers a child pornography ring which had a computer genius and also a perverted sociopath Tony Sarno doing most of the work Tony s boss is known as Runner Tony gets arrested and thee police find child pornography on his cell phone Tony beats the wrap and is out on the streets doing the same thing all over again The suspense is so great in this story that you want to skip a few pages to find out what happens to Tony Runner Eric and the other characters I haven t read a lot of books that keep you so interested Somehow you start to think like a detective Trying to figure out the criminal s next move and trying to discover who is actually behind it all HIDDEN takes you on a journey through the less traveled areas of New England You go through the seedy parts up to the halls of justice Surprising what can be found in the homes of the supposed normal citizens Secrets This story is full of secrets Of course we all live with secrets everyone of us If you love suspense I mean real suspense then watch out because this book does deliver just that A keeper for sure So grab a copy and help the lawmen solve several cases that are all related to just one Help them find Eric Thanks to you Mr Hall for this wonderful suspense novel You have great talent. Hidden cctv camera for car I was given a complimentary copy of HIDDEN from the author Thomas Hall for my unbiased review Hidden A Novel of Suspense This is basically a police procedural following the search for a little boy who has inexplicably been kidnapped There s no ransom request nor any other leads to chase Then dead bodies start to appear And as the lead detectives on the case start to dig further a devious plot begins to become clear I found the book somewhat disjointed at the beginning first hearing about Jonathan s dream then jumping to Tony s story then back to the school scene But after a confusing beginning the story progressed steadily through each phase of the investigation in a way that made sense to me. Hidden hills Munoz and Williams are good solid characters who work well together to solve the case Although we don t learn too much about them as individuals this really isn t necessary due to the nature of the story But their investigative skills are strong and lead them in the right direction I was pleasantly surprised by this book since I haven t read anything by this author previously But the suspense and the slow buildup really compelled me to turn the pages quickly to see what would happen next It has an excellent cover I loved the shimmery characters superimposed on the backdrop It made them seem expendable almost and certainly insubstantial and vulnerable.
