So with this volume the series gets even better The art and story telling is tight and they are certainly hitting a stride Surprisingly what makes this volume stand out is the introduction of the mini mag style True Crime text pieces being reprinted I know what you re thinking the text pieces in classic comic reprints are always terrible and you re not necessarily wrong Heck the ones in the EC ARCHIVES reprints are mostly pretty terrible These though are fully fleshed out lurid true crime stories with crappy pictures and the whole nine yards They end up being fun reads on their own.
