With very little bias it describes the plight of poor families trying to cope with family size and a lack of services available to women Throw in the mob and Al Capone and you have an interesting crime novel I did find the book lost pace a little after 60% but by 80% through it gained a speed that kept it very interesting and you wondered if the good guys would make it If you likeAmerican History and FBI crime procedural so this story is definitely for you 9781483947761 I love a good work of historical fiction and am happy to say that this will go down as one of my favorites Jones portrayal of the 1920 s mining town Wilder.

MY VIEWSetting 1928 The author did a wonderful job of writing this historical novel I did find a few typing errors but if the book is good you look right past them This book was that good The setting was a mining town that actually was a real place The author gives good descriptions of the life and hard times that miners along with their families had to face everyday Then the author delved into a very delicate issue of abortion Mr Jones wrote of this issue with tact He describes the poor families and their big families and a lack of providing adequately for them He also tells of the fact that women had few options since services were for women were rare. Rusted rail bar & grill Then the action changes to Al Capone and the Mob What a very interesting crime novel Here the author gives you the good guys vs the bad guys The story of good vs evil Who will win the good or evil The author gives the reader American History including The Mob The FBI Miners and their struggles and women s issue of abortion What a good combination of stories I would have to recommend this book to anyone who love these types of issues Grab a copy and read it You may want to read it again later on so put it on your shelf for another day. Ebook rusted rails pdf download I was given a complimentary copy of RUSTED RAILS from the author Barry Jones for my view of the book No other compensation took place 9781483947761 This book sets place in the 1920 s in Wilder Tennessee This was a time of the Industrial Revolution The town and the railroad were all being built up during this time period The author uses real places and real historical facts incorporated in his writing which makes it interesting and enjoyable to read because you re learning something along with a fictional story line as well There were quite a bit of non fiction information that side tracked me from the plot of the story that I thought would be the main focus of the story. Rusty rails fortnite The fictional part of this story was about the life of Jenny Hughes who is a recent widow pregnant and left alone with four children She seeks out the help of Rose who is a prostitute with finding a way to abort the child in her womb Things go seriously wrong when Jenny goes missing after the procedure and is last seen with a mysterious reporter Not only is this case blown out of the water because of the kidnapping but also because of the abortion she had when she was last seen. Rusty rails farmville nc There is an investigator named Ted who is looking into the whereabouts of where Jenny might have gone leaving here four children behind Rumors have it she might have gotten mixed up with the mob or maybe even something much worse Ted questions a variety of people with every intention of finding Jenny and brining her home safely. Rusted rails book pdf With the combination of non fiction and fiction this story really came to life It felt so real and interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what could have possibly happened to Jenny and why While reading about the mystery of what happened to Jenny your learning about the Industrial Revolution which makes it that much interesting I would rate this book a 5 5 Everything about this book was enjoyable and entertaining which blew me away I enjoyed it greatly 9781483947761 This historical novel is well written mostly and despite a few typos was a pleasure to read Set in 1928 in a mining town that actually existed you get a great description of life at the time and the dangers and hardships faced by the miners and their family This book boldly tackles the issue of abortion Tennessee is riveting Well researched the subject here is not for the faint at heart but is an important lesson in the history of illegal abortions One woman s risky decision leads those desperate to find her into a web of violence and corruption that ultimately involves the FBI and Al Capone. Rusty rails bar Well written and hard to put down this was a very enjoyable read It is not just about the desperation of women in the 1920 s it is also about the deplorable conditions of the mines and the sad fate of the miners families There are a few editing mistakes but those are easily dismissed by the great story contained here If you are interested in reading about the not so good old days this book is for you.
