I want to write stories that people enjoy that stick in their minds and hopefully put a smile on their face I grew up writing and have no intentions of stopping now When I m not writing I m usually sitting in a corner on my e reader Or baking who doesn t like sweets Just didn t grab me Gay Lesbian Romance Short Stories Ares Purpose was written for a picture prompt in the M M Romance Group s Love Has No Boundaries event. Ares Purpose pdf reader Zack and Ares are the two main characters These are supposed to be big tough guys but I didn t get that feeling from the speech patterns or the way the story was written It all fell a bit flat for me. Ares explained Told from Ares pov the story starts out in a bar fight that leads to Zack taking care of Ares at home Maybe it s just me but I didn t understand the point of the story Maybe because it felt like this was an excerpt from a story rather than the story itself. Ares purposeo one piece 5 stars to 3 stars as theirs really nothing objectionable about it but there s nothing to really enjoy either This is super short and is essentially just a bar fight Ares and Zarek are wonderfully happy together both big guys most people wouldn t mess with them even knowing they re gay But a couple of drunk college idiots at the bar just won t let things alone Alcohol is certainly an enabler in this case and as the idiots finally work up the venom to make their feelings known to the target of the ire things spiral out of control Full on bar fight ensues. Ares Purpose kindle And that s the extent of the story Well that and Ares insisting he doesn t need a hospital after being knocked unconscious by a beer bottle We don t get any knowledge of how the bar fight ended We know Ares is apparently a tough guy and supposedly there s some story as to why he doesn t like hospitals but we re never told what that is This whole thing dangles out there like a lost chapter to a story I really don t know what there is between Ares and Zarek because I didn t get to know anything about Zarek other than he doesn t like Ares always having to protect him All I really know about Ares is that he doesn t like people making comments about his boyfriend Ok that s cool and all but I d like to actually feel like I got to know something about the characters I m supposed to care about I felt bad for these two because no one likes to see homophobic assholes win But that s not enough to win me over The story was just ok Gay Lesbian Romance Short Stories LHNB Story released 29th July 2013This is the story of a bar fight and the aftermath when Ares starts of protecting his partner but finally throws the first punch with said partner s permission Having suffered an open head injury including being knocked out hospital treatment is bypassed and the pair return home with Ares libido intact There were just to many things that didn t work for me in this one in particular I just couldn t find anything to like about Ares at all Gay Lesbian Romance Short Stories There wasn t really a Story in this Gay Lesbian Romance Short Stories
Okay so I have a bit of a temper So what It s not like I didn t have a good reason to the pick the fight Besides he started it No one degrades my Zarek and thinks he can get away with it If only Z understood that too But I can forgive his faults It s hard not to when he looks that good naked.
Ares purposen name This story was written as a part of the M M Romance Group s Love Has No Boundaries event Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story Ares PurposeVery very short story that felt like an excerpt from a longer work Ares and Zarek seem like a strong couple and it was sweet to see of their relationship dynamics at the end.
