Thriller annika tv 5 stars because it was alright but it was slow and never really got my full attention The writing itself was good but I had the story figured out before the main character was even introduced The characters were a little flat and didn t really elicit any major emotional reactions for or about them Alex Highland is a father and husband he is a good father but not so good of a husband He has been less than faithful to his spouse in the past but has not strayed again until now Gina loves her son and husband and has forgiven him for his past mistakes Then she must leave to be with her family after her father has an accident and leaves Alex alone with their two small boys Alex and her family have been at odds since his slip several years before While she s away he and the boys continue their trips to the beach and so begins his fall While at the beach he falls asleep with his youngest son leaving the older to play alone or so he thinks When his son repeatedly asks to return to the beach so that he can see Annika The Interview and Caffeine and Nicotine his latest work coming out later this year Meet Alex Highland the protagonist of the story a man that is successful in every role in his life except in one that fails miserably Even though his career is on the rise being a very successful businessman and even though as a father he is an absolute darling to his sons David and Caleb he has done his worst in his marriage He had lied and cheated one to many times to get away with it but yet once again he was forgiven by his wife Gina after taking his words and efforts to be true As family matters arise Gina has to visit her father that is bedridden after an accident and leaves Alex and the boys to continue enjoy their fun beach time together This is where the story takes a wilder turn as during one of their beach expeditions they meet Annika a mysterious and alluring young female The attraction is so strong that it seems Alex does not have the power to avoid spiraling everything into chaos and putting his family at serious risk With strong vibes of the film Fatal Attraction Annika plays out like a suspense thriller with supernatural elements rather than horror While the story plays out well in the book s 270 pages one cannot help but figure out the plot twists and ending close to the last quarter. Annika noelle That is if the reader is an experienced explorer of the genre and has many intera tions with similarly themed ventures For readers that are in their first steps of such explorations Annika will be a very persuasive companion as the story offers many mysteries to be unlocked Overall Annika is an entertaining read with a good storyline and characters especially if this is one of your early attempts in the genre Annika By Eric Weule Wow I m so glad I picked up this book A great fix for a King or Koontz fan it is packed with the paranormal mystery and suspense A fantastically tragic story Kudos Mr Weule Annika By Eric Weule Can t believe I read so much of this crap before giving up The revelation at 69% just had me going Oh ffs and quickly moving to Candy Crush for a while One to miss Annika By Eric Weule
