Origins kindle app
A fairly quick read Bang Bang shoot em up space adventure with a little romance some aliens and an abrupt ending which is supposed to make you want to read Volume II I liked the way the book was laid out in that every other chapter provided a chronological step forward in the background of the main character Joseph Williams This book follows a young soldier who ends up trapped on an alien planet amidst a rescue attempt who soon finds himself facing much worse than just rampaging aliens The book has an intriguing premise Night of the Living Dead In space with aliens Unfortunately the execution is not quite there The main character and tertiary characters are not quite as engaging enough to drive the reader to be overtly concerned by their plight They are not bad just not crafted compellingly enough for my liking I will say the characters impetus both for joining the military and prosecuting his rescue mission are well done but other aspects need work More importantly not a lot happens for most of the book The tension built at the beginning isn t really maintained and the zombies are introduced quite early There are some subplots that will likely be fleshed out in future books but sadly I don t think I ll be tuning in to see what happens next. Comic book origins All is not lost though The writer is a solid writer and I think with some refinement to plot and pacing I think future installments could be Joseph Williams suprisingly good I hope it continues Joseph Williams Sci Fi Thriller jumps out from the beginning and held me in suspense to the end Loved it Joseph Williams
