Rhaaaaa maintenant le Mastermind sait que Kitty et sa bande savent qui il est rhaaaaaaaaa avachier xDsinon toujours pareil Jeff Chuckie James Tim Christopher Raj Gini Koch Some time passed since Kitty s adventure in space Not much happened beside the fact that Kitty s son Charlie was born and finally Amy and Christopher expecting their first child But then another assassin started to bring terror to Washington a masked person on a motorbike armed with a crossbow tries to kill some of the people near Kitty and even tries to kill her friend Lillian Carver just when she is about to learn some news from her And then the Planetary Council announces their intention to visit Earth which also stirs trouble among the people around president Armstrong And in addition.
The mastermind. I don t want to spoil but there were two losses in particular which brought tears to my eyes People in this book dropped like flies and this was horrible to read and I really feared for some of my favourite characters but fortunately Kitty saved the world again It was a great read very funny and extremely captivating and I m glad to say that this was better than the last one. We were left behind with a small cliffhanger in the end as some people are still missing and I m really looking forward to the next book and hopefully an explanation who this mysterious Mr Drax and what s his agenda is I already pre ordered the next book which will be published in May 2016 I keep my fingers crossed that Germany will not take too long to ship the book once it is available Gini Koch review coming Gini Koch Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick Dirty Kitty s back to fight the Mastermind in another action packed.
The Mastermind s made it very personal Either he s going down or Kitty is Alien in Chief Katherine I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review Genre Science Fiction Rating 4. 0 My Thoughts Alien in Chief is the Twelfth installment in Gini Koch s Katherine Kitty Katt series This is the episode I have been waiting patiently for since the unmasking of the Mastermind in the previous installment called Alien Separation The mastermind is as devious and nasty as he is brilliant to the point where he is always one step ahead of Kitty and her gang sworn to protect her from his machinations FULL REVIEW POSTING 12 01 2015 VIA GIZMOS REVIEWS Expected publication December 1.
Maybe they should just leave and find a nice beach somewhere But there are books so hopefully they can find all the crazy ones and live happily ever after. This book does pack a few punches 0_0 Gini Koch It s not often you can reach book 12 in a series and still have an author surprise you with the direction the story takes There aren t many authors out there like Gini Koch though and not only is she an expert at creating action packed stories that are full of sub plots upon sub plots run by a huge cast of wonderful supporting characters but she also fills her books with so much humour that they never fail to make me laugh out loud Kitty is undoubtedly one of my favourite characters.
He s done a lot of despicable things and caused the deaths of some much loved characters but now Kittye and crew are onto him and they re working hard to bring him down Unfortunately it s not quite as simple as calling him out since they have absolutely no evidence to use against him and they re pretty sure he has several back up plans in place in case anything happens to him It s no use cutting off the head if the hydra is just going to grow a few replacements so this really does need to be done carefully Unfortunately the Mastermind has a few tricks up his sleeve and when he kicks off one of his Doomsday plans Kitty realises that the people she cares most about are in danger than they ve ever faced before. You re in for a crazy journey in Alien in Chief so you should just sit back and enjoy the ride Crazy fight scenes.
Kitty is visited by their ally Benjamin Siler who asks for a favour His kind of adopted daughter a teenager called Lizzie is in trouble after having pranked the pampered kids at her private school Unfortunately those kids all have ties to people in Washington who are not friends with the Armstrong administration in generell and the A Cs in particular Therefore Siler wants to keep Lizzie save and no place is saver than American Centaurion embassy. To prepare for the visit of the Council Armstrong and Jeff decide to meet them at NASA base in Florida and to travel with their entourage their by train railforce one and two But their enemies are always one step ahead and what seems to be a nice and easy trip at first ends in a nightmare. After having finished the previous book Alien Separation I was a bit worried because even though I liked the book it was partially a bit boring Therefore I was curious what Gini Koch has up her sleeve for Kitty s next adventure And boy she did not disappoint me I was hooked at the beginning and couldn t put it down A rollercoaster of action and the idea with virus was brilliant and heartbreaking to read while good friends of Kitty died Normally I m not bloodthirsty but in the end I really hated this smug bastard crazy and heartbreaking installment. Opening Sentence Ah to see the world travel to exotic locations and meet interesting people Sounds great doesn t it The Review The twelfth novel in the Alien Katherine Kitty Katt series finally has Kitty and her crew back on track to take down the Mastermind After the two previous novels one of which did have Kitty learning the identity of the Mastermind but otherwise were like side journeys and then barely a year and a half of downtime for Kitty as she had her Jeff s second child all that time and the gang still couldn t come up with valid proof of who the Mastermind is and how to take him out This novel does heavily rely on the previous books so I do highly recommend reading the previous novels You could read it as a standalone but I don t recommend it there are a lot of reminders in the book for things that are pertinent but as in depth as this series is there is still so much that you would be missing out on. Less than two years have passed since Kitty s adventure on Beta Eight Life has been pretty uneventful for Kitty yes she had her second child but she hasn t had to put her life in danger in quite a while The Planetary Council have decided they want to visit planet Earth Kitty and the American Centurion don t know why they want to visit but they all agree that now is not a good time because of a variety of reasons but they also know that they can t say no One of the reasons for the bad timing is that an unknown female assassin is now targeting A C s A C sympathizers and Kitty Thankfully she always arrives on a Harley so Kitty has plenty of time to try to thwart the assassin s plans. Plans are made to meet with the Planetary Council at the NASA base in Florida For some reason they decide that they must make the trip by train a special Rail Force One The President the Vice President and other members of the Statehouse are making this very special trip As always trips can never go smoothly and no matter how much they prepare Kitty and the A C s must be ready for an attack The Mastermind has stepped up his game and it seems that there are may actually be than one group trying to take down Kitty and the aliens The train scene is crazy over the top action that I can totally see in a movie This scene is also perfectly portrayed on the book cover. This series continues to be crazy over the top fun I really enjoy the humor and the musical playlist that is of a partner to Kitty than even Richard White It s not all fun and games though there are some hard times for Kitty These books are really long so sometimes I do forget some of the events that happen at the beginning which in my eyes can be a good and bad thing The story is definitely not boring. Kitty is crazy funny and sometimes crazy funny She likes to think outside the box so of course her solutions are a little nutty which as a reader keeps me on my toes because I don t know what she s going to do next The secondary characters and the way that Kitty interacts with them are some of my favorite moments in the books but I really like the animals I really want a Poof of my own. Overall I wasn t entirely surprised by some of the events in the novel especially when the name of the novel itself is a spoiler I had a bad feeling that this novel would end badly and continue to the next Thankfully it didn t end on a cliffhanger but there are things that are left undone Hopefully these stories will be wrapped up in the next installment. Notable Scene Honestly Mom I d prefer not to tell any of you what I m planning In no small part because Jeff and Christopher are the worst liars in the world I know you pulled up how you used to feel about Chuckie for that fight Jeff I don t think you can do that for the where is your wife going question I hate to admit it baby but you re right on both I d like to know but it s probably better that I don t He sighed And you know how bad it is when I m letting you do this without me and without argument Don t worry Jeff Christopher said Kitty s plan will be something insane and foolhardy that will put her and everyone else on her team in mortal peril Several times most likely You don t know me Just be really clear about your location when you call for help You remain not my favorite Christopher He grinned Nice to see that Jeff s still number one in your heart And in the bedroom Too much information That was said in unison by most of the room. Jeff just grinned Even when we face the potential end of the world it still sucks to be me FTC Advisory DAW Penguin provided me with a copy of Alien in Chief No goody bags sponsorships material connections or bribes were exchanged for my review Gini Koch As always Gini Koch s Alien series is great value Another entertaining story great characters and I love an author who isn t afraid to follow a story through even if this means losing characters I love Looking at you Laurell K Hamilton Gini Koch Gini Koch lives in Phoenix Arizona and writes the bestselling fast fresh and funny Alien Katherine Kitty Katt series for DAW Books the Necropolis Enforcement Files series and the Martian Alliance Chronicles series Alien in the House Book 7 in her long running Alien series won the RT Book Reviews Reviewer s Choice Award as the Best Futuristic Romance of 2013 Book 14 Alien Nation won the Preditors and Editors Readers Choice Award for Best Science Fiction Fantasy Novel of 2016 Alien Education releases May 2 2017 and DAW Books has just contracted through Book 20 in the Alien series. For full details on all releases all the news about Gini s books signings events excerpts and visit her website site_link site_link The Mastermind has upped his game As Kitty can tell you it s not easy being the wife of the vice president especially not when he s an alien from the Alpha Centauri system And being a parent of preternaturally talented children don t even go there But she and her A C husband Jeff have learned how to roll with whatever life and the bad guys throw at them they think Kitty Company have been savouring a few months of quiet since they got back from Beta Eight But suddenly their peace is shattered by the arrival of a mysterious female assassin who might be Jeff s missing niece Stephanie And that s just the beginning of the fun When the Alpha Centauri Planetary Council requests a visit with the president and vice president things look politically dicey When the most dangerous prisoners in the most secure supermax prison escape with ease things look bad But when the Mastermind releases a virus that kills people in a week things go to Defcon Worse fast Now it s up to Kitty to save everyone important in the U. S government including her mother her husband and herself before the virus spreads through the rest of the country and then the world Plus she s facing invisible attackers crazed assassins a teenager in hiding the most dangerous train ride ever the disappearance of her beloved flyboys and a mysterious alien who could be an enemy or the ally she needs and this time 2015 by DAW Gini Koch Kitty Martini and Co are back for non stop action and I could not have asked for I absolutely love this world Gini Koch has created 12 books in and I hope we get many Yes there is a lot of plot under the bridge and I do recommend you read these books in order but Gini does a great job keeping us returning readers in the scoop and reminding us of previous operations A. The mastermind end goal is in sight and there is a lot of development in the overall plot I for one cannot wait for If I had one complaint it would be that I wish we got ore Martini but I can t really complain Gini akes me fall in love with these characters again and again with each book. If you enjoy a great sci fi romp this is the series for you I totally recommend it Gini Koch 500 pages of non stop action These people will never have a quiet day But to be fair they have had many quiet days since her second baby has been born Quiet for a time then Other aliens are coming to visit Hey what a state visit The bad guys are still out there And the mastermind even if they know who he is but can t do anything about it I really hate that guy Let s see other bad things going in Someone is trying to kill everyone But who is it And a mystery virus that kills really fast The clock is ticking on that one. I also felt that there was not enough Martini I know that she is a big girl and can handle herself but sniff I love Jeff I want Jeff and Kitty action and I am not talking about the bed here I have seriously started to doubt they will ever be happy on this planet There are so many crazy peeps trying to kill them That evil church Hybrids Sorry earth she comes up with such hair brained schemes and you can honestly never guess what she ll try next but you know for sure she ll come out fighting and that any bad guys in the vicinity had better watch out. We have been watching the Mastermind pulling the strings for a long time now snake attacks a deadly virus alien visitors invisible armies old enemies finally getting what they deserve new allies found old allies lost and so much can be found in these pages The fun never stops but you should also be prepared for a few tears because not everyone makes it to the end of the book Things have also taken a really interesting turn and the future is about to get extremely interesting for Jeff and Kitty as the series continues I can t wait for Camp Alien Gini Koch Twelve books into the Katherine Kitty Katt series and Gini Koch is still able to deliver a fast paced action packed thrill ride that stays true to what faithful readers love about the series but still manages to throw in some unexpected twists and turns. What I love about this series is the fact that no matter what situation Kitty finds herself in her voice never gets old Right from the very first page Kitty s narration grips you and it makes the 500 pages that this book is a little tolerable because of her friendly affable nature. This is definitely not a series to be read out of order However I think new readers can still appreciate the fact that each book is its own journey Even though larger threats are happening all around Kitty and her crew Koch does some things that really ground her character and make her relatable For example Kitty can kick ass in a fight but she struggles to take care of her two children The younger one seems to be developing some new abilities that they don t know how to control or understand yet so it s definitely fun to see how they will handle that I love the fact that despite this is all set in an alternate world with aliens and the Mastermind etc there is still something very genuine about Kitty and I think that s why this series is able to go on for so long Readers find that she isn t that much different than the rest of us. As I mentioned earlier this book is quite long as most sci fi novels are so a lot can happen I think Koch s writing continues to get better with each book Each chapter ending pushes me to read Each new advancement makes me wonder how in the hell Koch is able to come up with this stuff Her imagination has no bounds and that s what makes this series so fun to read Anything can happen. ALIEN IN CHIEF is another fantastic installment to the series Bursting with action with a few laughs along in the way the Katherine Kitty Katt series is sure to be your next reading addiction Gini Koch
