Robbers running away F Lourens This book is a tough read for the feint of heart The book is riveting but when you are told not to read it if you don t like violence then you need to heed the advice I need the sequel to come out so I know what happens to the main character J. PDF Running robbers row F Lourens His first Ancient Revenge was an action packed thrill ride very different from this book In Running Robbers Lourens addresses the very real very horrific subject of human trafficking and specifically the sex trade trafficking of underage girls The first half of the book is set in Ireland where Lourens main character Aine McCready is living a less than stellar life as a orphan and thief In the foster system since she can remember she and others like her who have been taken in by Madam Victoria exchange their street skills for a place to live and relative safety On one of her missions for her mentor she and her foster brother Nate Bernstein are swept into the world of human trafficking Nate is 7 Aine is 15 The book follows the devastating and dehumanizing treatment dealt to young girls kidnapped and sold into sexual slavery Louren s characterizations are spot on You will gasp you will feel sick you will cry for the pain and degradation of the girls experiences for the sick and twisted acts of the adults around them You will hate with a white hot fervor the book s bad guys and wish that even though you know it is fiction you could step in and put an end to it all You will cheer for those that try to help and feel the great frustration at each failure. Running Robbers mystery The book is excellently plotted the action moving along seamlessly Lourens has done his homework and brings this seamy activity to vivid life right before your eyes Your only real surprise will be the depth of depravity to which humans can sink in the pursuit of the almighty dollar Did I find the occasional awkward sentence misused word Yeah but not enough of them to mention No misspellings Great use of dialogue to move the plot Two things I did really like in the book and would point out were 1 Lourens turn of phrase and 2 a little idiosyncrasy that reminded me of Clive Cussler s work The turn of phrase I liked best The woman behind the counter looked friendly enough in her forties and round as a quarter The little idiosyncrasy He manages to slip his first book Ancient Revenge into this book as what one of the characters is reading as she flies to America So yes this is a book you should read No this will not be a book you will enjoy reading It is a book that I would have loved to give 4 maybe even 5 stars But I gave it three The next paragraph tells you why My only real objection to this book is its ending This is to be the first in a trilogy That s fine I love series reading But each book in a series should stand alone I shouldn t feel like I m watching the cliffhanger at the end of a cheesy T. PDF Running robbers lyrics V show s season that I have to wait until the next book in the series to have any resolution to the action in the first book The novel simply lacks denouement It just stops making you wonder if somehow somewhere in the publication process one or two chapters accidentally were hacked off If you choose to read the book be aware I wanted to throw it at the wall Simply on the basis of the ending I doubt I will read any other book in the trilogy I follow too many series where the author does what an author should leave you wanting not frustrated angry and feeling cheated out of a proper ending Others of you might not mind or might even like such an ending I do not J. Running robbersb bandcamp The characters in this book are so well written so alive that they seem to come off the pages of this book and hit the reader squarely between the eyes with their emotions and feelings There are many characters in this book but all are expertly written and in such a way that you will want to step in to stop the degradations they are going through and try to make everything right again for them those that do step into this role within this novels pages will have you cheering them on and supporting them every step of the way and feeling their frustration when things go awry The bad guys and again there are plenty are the kind that you insist justice is served upon and if not by legal means a quick trip out to the back 40 would soon put an end to them They are the type of character that the reader hates with a passion and their mere existence adds to this novel on so many different levels. Mystery running robbers game It is apparent from the way the action moves long in a seamless manner and the excellent plot line that the Author has done their research as difficult as it may have been The real skill of this writer is the way in which they bring it all together in a neat package and present the seamy side of life to the reader in all its vivid detail it s gory sickening and totally unashamedly depraved in some areas but this is key to the book being able to make the impact it does Even the way in which this novel abruptly ends fits into the subject matter perfectly it leaves the reader wanting wanting to know where the story goes from here This book also makes you think and examine the world in which we live a world that has so many underlying sub societies we don t know anything about or chose to ignore it makes the reader wonder how much longer the human race can continue in this vein before we self destruct. The robber knight rob goorhuis I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants their view of the world around them challenged and wants to be made to think Aine McCready vows to survive and avenge Just fifteen and an orphan Aine McCready makes a living as one of Madame Victoria s Running Robbers in a world of crime and violence in downtown Dublin She is familiar with abuse and pain and nine years in the system has taught her to survive When ill fate drags her into the clutches of a child trafficking ring destined to ply the sex trade or God forbid become fodder for the organ harvesting market Aine discovers a new dimension to evil one that knows no bounds Smuggled from Ireland to the United States Aine learns first hand just how brutal her captors are witnesses how resistance to their lures is met by cruel punishment when masked men butcher and discard her companions like rotten waste There is no escaping the inevitable no one is coming to her rescue But Aine s captors soon discover a harsh reality of their own Aine has nothing to lose and a strong resolve To survive and avenge Warning the novel explores the harsh reality of child trafficking a horrendous far reaching international crime beyond your imagination This novel therefore contains graphic violent and disturbing scenes Do not read this novel if you have a sensitive composition Running RobbersWith degrees in law and criminology Australian author JF Lourens practiced law before turning business consultant He is an avid reader of the thriller suspense genres he jogs to keep fit travels the world to see where life takes him does karate to keep him sane and focused and writes novels because he absolutely enjoys jumping into the keyboard to follow his characters into the unknown site_link Ancient Revenge is his debut novel a fast paced thriller with real life characters and a strong plot that makes the reader stop just long enough to think before resuming the race to the last pageAvailable in Kindle format on site_link.
