Terminal lance book I ve gone with four instead of five stars simply because Max s collection deserved slightly better production Making the transition from webcomic to book likely wasn t a plug and play experience but there are a few things which need fixing for the next book For example the font on the blog posts reproduced here for context varies with the length of the text This makes the longer posts harder to read and it simply does not appeal to the eye if two different size fonts are on facing pages The paper stock on the other hand is very nice My frame of reference comes from reading by cherished _Calvin Hobbes_ and _Far Side_ collections as a kid and the glossy paper in _Terminal Lance_ over the matte look of the older collections is a bit luxurious It also would have been helpful to have the date the strip originally appeared online referenced somewhere on the page. Terminal lancey young As a collection of insights into the very specific arcane society of the Marine Corps one couldn t ask for one consistently and perceptively funny I look forward to placing Max s follow on volumes next to this one on the shelf English One of a kindMarines will obviously love this book but even non Marines will find this an enjoyable funny read which will give you a glimpse of the life of infantry marines English Not much to say it s just like the web comic with a strip and a commentary I like his work and this is as good as the rest of his work English
