I love Viking romances Grim Hammerhand is believed to be able to berserk into a human wolf and is undefeated Most people are terrified of him as he is intelligent and built His half brother Erik is married to the King s second daughter Bera However his first born has been stolen and degraded So the king sends in Grim to deal with Stein and if he succeeds he can have Stein s lands and we d Asgard or send her home to the King Thorkel is Grim s teen cousin who is a mighty young warrior however when not fighting he is extremely clumsy I thought he was adorable and honorable and funny Halla is Stein s half sister and Thorkel and Halla are hilarious together OMG a few times I had to run to the bathroom because I was laughing so hard Lol There are a lot of misunderstandings between Asgerd and Grim at first But then they both realize that all they need to do is actually TALK to each other OMG I wanted to bop both of them I really enjoyed the book and I can t wait to track down book 1 and any other books in this series I m addicted. Northman's Pleasure kindle app I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kate Hill Northman s Pleasure is the second book of Northmen s Brides by Kate Hill As I have not read the first book I can assure that this book reads perfectly find as a standalone romance This is a gritty historical romance set in the times of fierce Norsemen and Vikings I wouldn t call this a dark romance though there is mention of rape and violence towards women I call it a gritty romance because the world that has been created by Hill feel dirty and real Asgerd is the daughter of a King and she has been kidnapped by one of the king s enemies Asgerd hasn t been interested in marriage and before her rescue realises that it would be unlikely a man would want her as his wife after being assaulted by her captor innumerable times When Grim Hammerhand rescues her Asgerd s feelings are palable Here is a man a well renowned warrior who had refused to married and one that she had crushed on And now Grim is saying that they will be married as he takes over the lands of the man he defeated. Book Northman's pleasure-way Grim Hammerhand is the quintessential Viking warrior he is ruggedly appealing on paper He is heroic but he is also feral in a way that any other warrior would be crazy to go against the man who is thought to be as fierce as a wolf However Grim is also a complicated man underneath all that and as Asgerd begins to understand her new husband Grim s story is revealed and humanises this warrior. Northman's pleasuremonger I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kate Hill Northman s Pleasure is Book 2 of Northmen s Brides series It s a short and steamy OTT historical romance I am normally not a huge historical romance reader but I love Kate Hill and am a sucker for a hot Viking Grim fits that bill as is a smart hunky and fierce warrior rud to be a berserker The king s daughter Asgerd has been kidnapped Grim needs to go rescue her and either marry her and keep the enemy s land or return her to her father Asgerd is sassy fierce and resilient She has been defiled and humiliated but holds her head high She has always had a secret crush on Grim Can she have an HEA with him He has never desired a wife but I think he s drawn to Asgerd s moxie They have a rough time at first with misunderstandings and poor communication I wanted to slap them both at times but then they started to work together They had insane chemistry and we do get a happy ending after the drama There was also a great supporting cast with some laughs in between the steam I loved it and need to read book 1 now. Book Northman's pleasure island A fun story that is filled with unsure doubts disrespect passionate desire that takes Grim and Asgard to a deeper meaning of pillow talk activities A short epilogue but the author treats us to some extra scenes that brought a happy ending to this deeply emotional romance story Special Mention Loved the Wolf I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy for my honest thoughts and opinion Kate Hill For the love of Asgerd I am always in the mood for a good Viking read and Northman s Pleasure delivers Grim is a fierce warrior sweeping in to save Asgerd from her kidnapper I think her moxie is what drew him to her Even in captivity she was no shrinking violet She s had a tendre for the redheaded hottie for years but he s never looked her way Wed on his command they will have to learn to trust each other They each have valid reasons for being wary of the opposite sex Sadly pain and suffering are not unfamiliar to them Steamy AF novella with battles waging for land and for love that brings back fond memories of History s Vikings series.
