This guy can write Reminiscent of Ellery Queen or Raymond Chandler with a big twist Intriguing premise and an enthralling read This is one of a select group of books that one can t read fast enough wanting to discover what s going to happen next but wants to read slowly to prolong the enjoyment And darn it I indeed reached the end For an unusual mix of science fiction and noir you can t go past this one Strawman Made Steel Couldn t put it down really it took me a whole year Strawman Made Steel I read this novel earlier in the year and forgot to write a review I was reminded of it again after recently reading The cutting room which had some similarities Strawman made steel is awesome The author has written an old style hard boiled detective novel in the vein of Chandler and the other great authors of that ilk This time however he s added a clever sci fi twist for good measure. Science Fiction Strawman Made steele If you re a lover of mystery you re in luck It has it spades You may suspect everyone at one point It is really well written If you dislike today s or from any other time really preachiness in books you re in luck It has none of it I can t remember the last time I enjoyed a book from an unknown author to me this much. Strawman Made Steel pdfescape The time travelling element is just a background in the story which would be as good as if it was set in our world past or present After reading the story I d say the time travel and the mirrors may be a set up for a personal story later on So far the author hasn t written it yet and that s a shame The protagonist travels to the future and works there as a private investigator He travels using mirrors The book doesn t ease you into that particular titbit The first moments of the book are about him going through a mirror into the present It s a bit confusing at first but it is worth every single moment so stick with it. Strawman Made steelman The less I say about Janus McIlwraith s case and his worlds the better The only thing I d say is that neither noir lovers nor murder mystery lovers should be disappointed There are some grammatical errors but they are easily forgotten in a story like this I wish there are stories about Janus McIlwraith Strawman Made Steel The main character has great lines reminiscent of Chandler s Marlowe and the plot rips along in a futuristic setting in which you can almost feel the grime through the pages Highly recommend this book and can t wait for the next one Strawman Made Steel
