Sosie and the rest of the gang in this strange world where they live on an island from birth with only other girls for company Then they start university which seems like another secluded isle but this is where the girls and boys meet each other for the first time and have their few years at the university to get married or endure a lifetime working on the island as a spinster or the male equivalent I really did enjoy this lifestyle as it was inventive and not something I have come across before Admittedly I found Nala s sheer perfection and the constant flock of admiring boys trailing behind her quite annoying at times I did love her character.

And I also felt it was a bit repetitive I particularly remember people ordering long items on a menu being repeated Also the ongoing references to food and clothing Whenever a character entered a scene there was a description of what they were wearing This is good of course as it helps build a mental picture when I actually know what the items of clothing described are but I think this should happen every now and again rather than very other page A similar thing happened with food I also didn t know what half the dishes being described were either You may be thinking why on earth I rated this four stars if all I ve done so far is complain.

The kissing scene in the dog's journey two One last thingThere had better be a sequel as I am soooo not happy with the ending It left so many if not all the questions I have unanswered and I am defiantly going to have to read the next one in this series 9780615850818 I guess I am going to be the first person to review this book who is not related to and or friends with the author but I guess someone had to be first BTW to all friends and family of writers out there if you are going to join Goodreads only to rate your author friend s book don t just show up once rate ONLY their book and then never log in again It gives you away making your review un credible which isn t really doing them any favors Anyway on to the story I try to go easy on debut authors particularly when they are self published or pubed by a tiny house but The Kissing School was rough for me First off to be clear this book is New Adult not Young Adult It is tapped as both but the two genres are not the same thing and cannot be both Unless maybe the first half takes pace in high school and the second half college but I ve yet to see anything like that This story is set entirely is college and thus is NA. The kissing sailor photo The general idea is that all these students are coming together into a coed school for the first time so naturally gender tensions are high The main thing that didn t work for me however was that other than the whole learning how to intermingle with boys and dating etc there was no story I kept reading assuming that eventually something would happen and the story would take off but it just never happened I hate to use the word but I have to it was boring Someone s flirting someone has an inappropriate crush someone wants to find a guy all these things are great but they don t in and of themselves make a story Where are we going What is the ultimate goal and why is it important What are the obstacles Where is the buildup These are questions we ask when reading and sadly for TKS there really were no answers. Kissing school game I also had some trouble with confusion in the writing mainly when there was than a two or three characters present It often became very hard to tell what was going on or who was speaking and I m fairly sure that were were a few mixed up names though again I was a bit confused at those parts so I can t be sure but something was definitely wrong At the end I struggled to finish just for shear lack of interest but I DID finish which is why it got two stars Last note this is not about the story itself but of an aside I will say that this book did seem very overpriced at a whopping 8.
