Though I liked the idea for this book I couldn t get past the behavior of some of the characters I know these people are different but the concept of parents who would rather climb the ladder of what they believe is success rather than do what is best for their children is one I couldn t get past I m not sure if I will read the next book ebook I really enjoyed this book I loved that is was something different a story line I have never read and I LOVED that it followed a girl grim Smith did an awesome job writing this one delivering excitement adventure and so much Following Naomi Grim in her life of being a Grim at the age of sixteen was awesome She seems to have a bit of a different look on human life then her 2 brothers and the rest of the Grim s she knows Her job sucks she has to hang out around a person till they pass then she has to hoard their living essence in a stone to return home with it to turn in But she cant seem to not have feeling for these humans she seems to feel for them Thats not good for a Grim they are to feel nothing and this will get Naomi in some trouble Now her 2 brothers and BFF and her brother have been giving a job that will move there families up in the Grim world Live in the human world attend high school get into the crowds and find out who and when the mega disaster will accrue so they can collect ALL the stones to being home But once she is in their world things will not go so good and Naomi will make decision that might not only get her self killed but her family and friends as well Thing will be uncover and secrets will be spilled so get ready I really like this one I was really hooked from the start I loved that Naomi went with hoe she felt and always did want she thought was right Sometimes she made decision that where not the best but she always did them for a reason and I loved it I would not want to have her life that for sure Being a Grim has LOTS of rules and some crazy ones but I guess thats how they have to do it She has some things to deal with and I don t want to say to much because I don t want to give to much away you will want to uncover these things by your self so you enjoy the book Lets say I love Bram Naomi s older brother he is all that and a bag of chips well thats what he thinks I love that he is like any older brother out there He is cocky and a smart butt but he loves his family There are few character I enjoyed in this one and they each made the story that much I love thew world of the Grim as well Smith did a great job describing it and making you feel part of the book I love when authors do that I love when they make me feel like I stepped into the book I never felt like this one felt short at any point either It was GOOD and I cant wait for I know the next one is going to ROCK 4. Naomi grim part 1 pdf free This was a very different book for me to read It deals with GRIMS Yep I said it GRIMS but it isn t all about death I guess you would say You are introduced into a world where we learn about Grims and what they are suppose to do They collect life stones that prolong a Grims life which I think is amazing They start at age 13 collecting lifestones Now if they break rules they lose so many years and it is quite painful We follow Naomi and learn secrets about her that she didn t even know about but will that certain secret help or hurt her I was very surprised when I found it out and found myself going OMG now what is going to happen. Naomi grim part 1y review There is so much I want to tell you all in this review but if I keep writing I am bound to give up spoilers If you are looking for a good read that has a different take on the reapers than get part 1 now ebook Naomi lives with her family and all the other Grims in a parallel universe called Nowhere between assignments In order to stay alive she must collect lifestones from those who die on Earth Unlike other Grims Naomi doesn t enjoy watching people die which is going to be a big problem she her two brothers and her best friend have been assigned to a high school where a lot of people are going to die soon When I first started this novel it seemed a lot like Croak but the parallel universe was really interesting although I couldn t quite figure out who did all the other jobs if everyone was a grim I also felt like this big assignment would be especially interesting what with her big brother Bram s brashness and Naomi s compassion Unfortunately this is only PART ONE so cruelly I was left wanting This part delved into the social structure of Nowhere where there s an ultra rich caste that have so many lifestones they re basically immortal and the extremely poor area and then the middle class area where Naomi s family lives The writing style is very easy to read I read most of this book while sitting in traffic ebook NAOMI GRIM is the introductory section of Tiffany Nicole Smith s serialized novel Silver Scythe Chronicles As an introduction there s really very little actual story here instead the reader is introduced to Naomi and her family including older brother Bram and younger brother Dorian All of them are Grims a race of people living in an alternative world called Nowhere Grims are modern day Grim Reapers complete with scythes and the task of reaping the lives of the Fated i. Naomi grim part 1 lyrics The actual plot of the novel which will revolve around what happens when Naomi and her brothers along with two of their friends infiltrate Kennedy High School to await the promised tragedy doesn t start happening until the second installment in the series In this first section we learn about how Nowhere works including its bizarre Covenant kissing a girl before age 18 can get you docked 50 life years and sex is punishable by death arranged marriages and a horrific class system that seems downright medieval There are three neighborhoods in Nowhere a slum filled with poverty stricken losers a middle class and an upper class called the Upper Estates The people living in the slum are destitute starving and denied lifestones they are seldom given reaping assignments making it impossible for them to improve their lives Most of the people living in the middle class Naomi s father for example are focused on impressing the leadership enough to get into the Upper Estates because in the Upper Estates life is apparently beyond blissful with everyone rolling in money and possessing eternal life The people living in these three class bound neighborhoods don t mix the poor are not allowed to enter the middle class I expect she will face some pretty difficult challenges especially since failure to do her duty as a Grim could easily result in a death sentence I found NAOMI GRIM to be a fascinating set up for a novel but I have to admit I m not a fan of serialized fiction Even when we re talking about a series of full length novels i. Naomi grim part 1 download e HUNGER GAMES it s frustrating to have to have to buy the next volume to find out what happens Here it s even frustrating since all of the four installments are already available for purchase The only reason for selling them as four separate books is to get readers to pay four times The length of this first installment is about 75 pages meaning the entire thing could easily have been released as one 300 page book But that would mean only one sale and not four Stephen King got away with selling his work like this on a few occasions i. Naomi grim part 1 pdf free e THE DARK TOWER series but I wasn t a fan I would have liked Naomi s story a lot better had the entire novel been available in one volume I applaud Smith for making the first installment available free of charge for Kindle download but I know her goal was to rope readers in to buying the remaining three installments Something about that just doesn t sit right with me This series has the potential to be a very exciting and original story but just be aware of what you re getting when you pick up NAOMI GRIM The story itself won t even begin until the second installment and you ll still have two to buy after that This one may be free at least for the time being but if you like what you read and I did you ll have to buy three books Five stars for the story such as it is one star for the marketing plan three stars seems fair ebook
