3 The Return by Melissa Douthit is the final book in The Legend of the Raie Chaelia trilogy and my favorite I have really enjoyed this trilogy which includes The Raie Chaelia and The Firelight of Maalda and I looked forward to seeing how the story would wrap up and I wasn t disappointed Melissa has a knack for building an intriguing fantasy world with great characters and plenty of action and adventure with the added touch of a little romance A great series for fantasy lovers In The Return Chalice is reunited with her friends and the love of her life Jeremiah I m not going to use the various names of different groups that comprise the story because it may be too confusing for those that haven t read the books but I will say that Chalice is up for the fight of her life against an evil man that would like nothing better than to see her dead Chalice is not that easily beaten though and she will use her smarts and special powers to save herself.

And independent Chalice is I like reading novels with strong female characters and yet Melissa keeps her story believable because Chalice isn t invincible despite her special powers Chalice is eighteen in The Return and she definitely hums to the beat of her own drum and refuses to be told what to do She s a warrior and yet has a soft side Her love Jeremiah I m sure spends a lot of time pulling his hair out while trying to deal with her stubbornness Their love story has built from the first novel and is a sweet and pure love. Return to kindle home screen The Return wraps up nicely In fact both Chalice and Jeremiah come from two different cultures and are not able to marry so it was interesting to see how the author works her way around this There are also twists and turns I just wasn t expecting and at one point in time I thought something was going to happen that I was most definitely not going to like but thankfully it didn t I enjoyed this trilogy and my only complaint is that I m sad the journey is over Kindle Edition I couldn t wait to start this book The Return picks up right where we left off in The Firelight of Maalda Chalice fell over the cliff after being attacked She learns a lot of information from an interesting source.

The Return for readers age 13 and up Story Summary After the fall from the Maaldan cliff Chalice is reunited with her friends on a journey that takes them to the coastline of Ielieria Little do Vlaad and his Fierain know what is in store for them as bit by bit their plans are thwarted by this blond haired blue eyed beauty The small band of rebels then travels across the Realm preparing it for war while Chalice herself is brewing plans of her own that may just land her in the hot seat What will happen when she returns her father to the throne What will happen when he finds out what she has done And what will happen once Dar Maalda learns of the rebels location In the third and final novel of the trilogy The Legend of the Raie Chaelia you find out It is a dramatic finish to an epic story of action adventure betrayal forgiveness and love The Return Legend of the Raie Chaelia her friends and even bring her father back from a faraway place that the evil one put him in Ultimately they will all have to band together to fight the enemy but the question is will Chalice live to talk about it I adore Chalice and have from the first novel She is the reason I kept reading this trilogy well I liked the story too I love how spunky tough then is reunited with her friends family She has a plan in place to return her father and finally defeat Vlaad The problem is he has plans of his own It is a fight for their lives and Chalice isn t just going to sit around being a princess but instead is going to charge headlong into battle Chalice has grown and changed so much through these books that she is hardly recognizable as the young girl we first met She still has an opinion and is strong willed but she has learned to channel her strengths I m still in love with Jeremiah He is always the protector Her friends are still close through everything she and the war puts them through I wasn t sure how this book was going to play out and for that reason I couldn t put it down I really enjoyed this whole series. Kindle returns uk This is a fun book and a good read Lots of action magic young love battles and war and one amazing horse Don t underestimate the horse she s a major character If you love horses I do it s a great addition There s a lot to like memorable and sympathetic heroes and heroines Plus some very sinister bad guys. Young adults set The Return Book Three Kindle Edition Oh Chalice with her butter hair how I will not read thou Because I don t like being described aspects about your world that doesn t make sense try to decipher through the horrible sentence structure and read prefaces that tell me how to read Therefore I will not read you and grant you one star for my trauma of reading a sample Kindle Edition I was looking forward to reading this story and I was not disappointed It continues where the last book The Firelight Of Maalda finished and is an exciting breathtaking ride Chalice is eighteen in this story and it is interesting to see how much she has changed and grown up since the first book She is still feisty very independent and at times fiercely stubborn and firm in her resolve when she believes a certain course of action is the right one despite misgivings from those around her even her one true love Jeremiah. The return 2024 showtimes She makes mistakes she is not perfect or always right despite her special abilities and this is one of the things that make her very easy to like and to relate to Jeremiah is strong sweet and gentle and knows just how to handle her Their mutual respect and affection comes through the pages very clearly and they are perfectly suited Sadly their differing cultures mean they cannot marry but they are in every other way man and wife and the dilemma is resolved in a surprising manner at the end The love scenes are hinted at without actually being described and this is a great read suitable for any age group from Young Adult upwards. Why can't i return my kindle book The story is by turns gripping exciting and moving It kept me turning the pages and much as I wanted to discover how it all turned out I did not want it to end This is an epic story spanning three volumes I think you could read The Return without reading the other stories in the series and still enjoy it but they are all three worth the read and the various characters and groups will be much easier to follow if they are all read chronologically The series has a Tolkeinesque feel but is completely fresh and original and Melissa has created a world in which the reader can feel completely at home The fantasy and magical elements in it are have a rationale and are therefore believable and there are familiar animals as well as imaginary ones I was sorry that Chalice lost Sunny the beloved palomino horse given her by her father but the beautiful horse that graces the cover Nipha is a worthy successor and an important character herself There are several twists and turns to this exciting story and the climax had me on the edge of my seat As the story concludes there is an unexpected but satisfying twist. The return science fiction fantasy novel I really enjoyed The Return and felt sorry that there would be no or will there I think perhaps there s scope for at least one episode Ms Douthit With regard to the negative reviews on this book everyone has differing tastes and I just happen to enjoy this sort of fantasy and genuinely enjoyed it Yes there were a few editing issues but not enough to pull me out of the story and it s the story itself I m interested in As an adult I found it highly enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend it to older children and upwards Kindle Edition
