Too far too fast historical fiction review Secondly complete lack of survival instincts This is portrayed in various parts of the book but the stand out to me was having to climb to safety and saying you can t climb Again might just be me but if I was running for my life I d give it a damned good effort before giving up oh and swiftly following that section is escaping with your life but failing to immediately go to the police and instead going home to change Thirdly and this is a peeve I am starting to get with a lot of chick lit authors so nothing against the author here but do characters in books miraculously live in worlds without STDs I ask because this is the second book in 10 days to have the oh I m on the pill moment which apparently stops all unwarranted reactions to sex what is this a mega pill I get that books are an escape from the real world but some realism sensibilities are for me required.
