Cold blood stalker rp Part life memoir part exploration of nature this was an enjoyable read although once again highlighting the multiple attacks the natural world has been subjected too over the last few decades especially 0701187956 I thoroughly enjoyed this biographical tale of a boyhood obsession with amphibians and reptiles As with the best of the recent genre of nature writing it is not just about the frogs newts lizards and snakes but about the author s childhood and adolescence and his family relationships In particular his conflict with his father is a powerful theme although the overall feeling is that of a loving family On a par with Patrick Barkham s writing for me 0701187956 Richard Kerridge has written a subtle and deceptively simple book about his life with British reptiles toads frogs and newts Taking as his chapter headings Palmate Newts Toads and so on the author tells us a great deal about the particular animal in question in an informative and engaging manner while weaving in his recollections and life as a child.
