This book is amazing Very informative and packed full of history of the great Civil War it is a must read for Civil War fans and holds valuable information that I didn t learn in other history books Very well written and exciting all the way through to the end that made me cry I give it five stars for being great Divided We Fought A Pictorial History of the War 1861 1865 I ve owned this book for about 40 years and have often looked through the photos but after having read several other books on the Civil War lately I decided it was time to read the descriptions It s about half and half. Book Divided We foughty It s wonderfully done with professionally taken photos and great sketches by artists You can almost get a feeling of being there It s probably not a book for those just beginning to learn about that war as it jumps around a bit and the descriptions of what is going on wouldn t mean much to those who have no sense of what was happening over a broad scope of the country and which generals were doing what but highly recommended to those who want to see what they ve previously only read about Divided We Fought A Pictorial History of the War 1861 1865
