Book drawing flowers
This is a fresh and accessible book aimed at those who want to translate their love of flowers into competent attractive drawings It includes examples and exercises across the full floral range from simple structures such as a tulip to the complex rose Drawing FlowersGood book for moving between botany and art but IS NOT step by step this book suggests practicing with other still life subjects using magnifiers and microscopes for studying plants cutting your own subjects and even selecting flowers with a good scent I would have expected a step by step for learning the general shapes of flowers and how the outlines are made for this but this was featured sporadically and without much detail how so half the steps from start to finish are essentially missing I feel cheated Jill Winch
