Kindle I Survived The Zombie Apocalypse and All I Got Was This podcast equipment There is no getting around the fact that this graphic is extremely tongue in cheek and in parts boarders on parody It is different from a lot of other zombie stuff out there For a start the zombies are female and they only attack men They also appear to possess some smarts and can communicate on a basic level mostly name calling The story follows the isolated Mara who runs a podcast from her hideaway that no one listens too One day she suffers a snake bite whilst tending her vegetable patch and has to leave her compound to get medical supplies During her trip she learns the truth about the zombies and after realising that she is not in danger decides to try and befriend them But these mean girl zombies are not interested.

If you aren t zombie then you are just not good enough and they push Mara out and bully her I survived the Zombie Apocalypse and all I got was this Podcast is rather cleaver because behind all the fun you have a character driven half mad by her isolation There was a moment where I stopped smiling and actually felt really sorry for her Her delusional state was almost heart breaking in parts especially when the zombies start picking on her But she bounces back in the end. So that s why she kills them It wasn t for me Chris W Freeman I wish there were story It was really funny One of the things I really wished is that for me as woman I wish that they drew the women of comics with different body types All of them look pretty much the same and bodies are beautiful in all their different shapes If there are any I will definitely read them Chris W Freeman It ended up being a fedora neckbeard s wet dream A sexy and pathetic girl who is desperate for love from anyone and they included a scene where she violently kills everyone so that she is a badass TM and many gratuitous shots of her in underwear I don t know why I even tried reading this book.

Pretty badNot the absolute worst but definitely not good I liked the human wants to befriend the zombies angle at first but it wore out fast Chris W Freeman I love zombies let me count the ways I read and watch everything zombie related The title of the graphic novel is great I survived the zombie apocalypse and all I got was this podcast With such a great title I was expecting a good story Well I survived reading this graphic novel and all I got was a whiny heroine. I Survived The Zombie Apocalypse and All I Got Was This Podcast pdf reader Mara Mitchell has clearly lost it She has a garden and a podcast and is alone She just wants a friend in the middle of a zombie apocalypse She notices that the zombies are only targeting men So she tries to befriend the female zombies _ Well that doesn t work because she is alive and human and therefore an outcast It s a clever way to twist things around So she tries to give them cookies gifts etc Nothing works They do not want them The setup is similar to a high school clique She just wants a friend and the clique just bullies and humiliates her It is all rather cruel I should have liked this but I did not I found the main character too annoying needy and whiny Yes I know it is the apocalypse and the loneliness can get to you but the main character was just too whiny neurotic and plain crazy I don t mind the neurotic and crazy part so much I guess the feminist in me got a bit frazzled that the character was portrayed as such an emotionally unstable female Yes she can kick butt kill zombies be all kick ass but then she is cowering in a corner because she doesn t have any friends and all that How can such a physically powerful character have a rather weak personality Even worse one that is not interesting I did not like this story The mental state of the woman was what a male writer would have written in Victorian times Hysterical and emotionally weak She was portrayed as totally pathetic attention seeker and boring Chris W Freeman For this review and visit my blogI wasn t really sure what to expect from this one The Walking Dead dominates not only the zombie graphic novel market but the zombie market in general I Survived the Zombie Apocalypse and all I got was this Podcast is not The Walking Dead but a really disjointed story Also the main character wasn t consistent Chris W Freeman An entertaining and fun read but not really that original Great art and style Chris W Freeman In a lonely compound surrounded by the zombie apocalypse one girl remains unchanged A slight garden mishap prompts a supply run to the outside where she makes a life changing discovery the zombies only eat males Now Mara Mitchell is on a make friends with the undead or kill them all I Survived The Zombie Apocalypse and All I Got Was This PodcastI don t know who this was for The jokes aren t funny the main character clearly sexualized but imo also unsexy the plot doesn t make sense it s just beating the same joke about the zombies thinking the main character is a loser but I feel like I lost brain cells Chris W Freeman I received an electronic copy of this graphic novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
