The Moby Clitoris of His BelovedNo way to sugarcoat this this story is bad racist and sexist The characters have no depth just racist sexst caricatures and the story seems of a loose scaffold than an actual story There are cool stories to be told about the women divers of Japan and Korea not SFF but Lisa See s The Island of Sea Women comes to mind but this is not one of them 1 5Lydia s BodyThis story is decently written but I didn t connect with it For such an interior story Ian Watson e Roberto QuagliaO conto tem como protagonista Yukio um japon s cujo principal objetivo de vida provar sashimi de cl toris de baleia considerado no Jap o que os autores nos apresentam uma iguaria sem igual parte da tradi o do pa s Toda a apanha da iguaria apresentada como uma coisa sensual em que belas mulheres vestidas com trajes transparentes as mergulhadoras ama participam no ritual que permite que os mais ricos possam saborear o sashimi O seu desejo de o provar leva Yukio a arranjar v rios esquemas para conseguir enriquecer incluindo seduzir uma ama para que lhe possa arranjar sashimis contrabandeados Mais tarde tenta montar um neg cio que envolve cl toris clonados e outras ideias que parecem demasiado bizarras e mesmo nojentas. Clarkesworld Magazine, Issue 2, November 2006 fantasy 5 Quando acabei de ler este conto a primeira coisa que pensei foi Mas que raio foi isto que acabei de ler E ent o ap s alguma pesquisa percebi que esta hist ria se insere na chamada Bizarro fiction que combina elementos de absurdo s tira e grotesco E isto completamente fora da minha zona de conforto ou sequer do que costumo ler At acho positivo fugir de vez em quando nossa praia mas para ser franca n o gostei Achei tudo muito descabido e surreal e n o consegui perceber qual o objetivo da hist ria 1 5 Lydia s Body Vylar KaftanAmanda Barnes uma jovem de 26 anos que vive no s culo XXI v se subitamente no corpo de uma adolescente Lydia que vive com o seu pai vi vo numa cabana isolada no Wisconsin de 1838 Na altura em que o conto tem in cio Amanda j vive nesta situa o h perto de 2 anos e lamenta se por n o fazer ideia de como reverter o feiti o Apesar de tudo Amanda adapta se vida do dia a dia tratando da casa e das refei es para o seu pai que na verdade um homem de 33 anos pouco mais velho que ela e por quem se sente atra da. Fantasy Clarkesworld Magazine, Issue 2, November 2006 toyota Gostei bastante deste conto por v rios motivos a autora consegue num texto curto fazer uma caracteriza o psicol gica profunda e interessante da sua personagem principal a premissa da hist ria intrigante o final perturbador Ficou apenas o desejo de ver o confronto psicol gico entre Amanda e Lydia mais aprofundado porque de resto uma hist ria muito bem conseguida 4 5 English Careful what you wish for is definitely the meaning of this story Feel sorry for both of the female characters English Some food for thought but no kung fu English
