This book looks at the human condition and disposition of Prophets It is part of a series of works Mol Daryabadi penned subsequent to the completion of his Urdu and English tafsir projects To explain the impetus behind the work in the authors own words from his diary Far from demeaning Prophets the book highlights in unequivocal terms the tremendous responsibility involved with the office of Prophethood It strikes fear and awe into the reader The style and content of the book is simply an enlisting verses of the Qur an supplementing them with minimal notes the last chapter for example is a collection of 177 verses There is no speculative theological expositions or lengthy theorising He lets the Qur an do the talking The result is a powerful My heart was trembling within the first few pages of chapter one which is on the servitude human disposition and responsibility of Prophets abdiyyat bashariyyat mas uliyyat and I read the rest of the book making tasbih Astaghfirullah al Azim Min Kulli Dhanb Wa Atubu Ilayhi. بشريت انبياءu unesco The Prophets are not exempt from God s law they too are held accountable strictly than others in fact They are human like us and are expected to communicate the divine message even if it goes against their wishes and irrespective of the potential uproar resentment hostility discrimination wrath and violence it may incur They are tested shaken and fearful of sin. بشريت انبياءp pdf download In addition they have human traits They feel grief sorrow anger anxiety hope despair wish for children pray for their prosperity etc all this and much is wonderfully captured in verses of the Qur an. بشريت انبياء ebook free download Whatever extra privileges they were afforded were the result not of their own birth right or newly acquired magical powers or Prophetdom it was simply the grace of God Subhana Rabbi al Ala wa al Azim. بشريت انبياءr redmi It does well to doctor much of the misconceptions regarding Prophets in popular subcontinent culture Chapter one abdiyyat bashariyyat mas uliyyat was extraordinary and I felt it was no less powerful than some of Shah Isma il Shahid s writings It s the crown jewel of the book The following chapters further enforce the main thesis though chapter 7 on knowledge of the unseen could have been better argued I had a couple of reservations towards some arguments deducted from the cited verses Overall I felt the chapter could have been made conclusive and definitive that said there is definitely enough material to cast doubts on the doctrine of ilm al ghayb There s repetition in the book which the author considers unavoidable There were chapters where I felt points were made and could have been made shorter for example chapter 10 on family and children was seventeen pages long whereas chapter on Prophets forgetting was 2 pages as the drag made it longer to complete the book Yet in the midst of these chapters chapter 9 tab i kayfiyyat wa infi aalaat certainly redeemed the book and brought it back on track It strikes a chord with chapter one fits in wonderfully with the over thesis of the book and is impressively comprehensive The author tries to find the same point with as many Prophets as he can and does not suffice on the example of one Prophet if possible obviously this is dependant on the provided information in the Qur an. بشريت انبياءv vf Chapter 11 titled zallat wa qurb e zallat shortcomings slip ups and deeds close to them tackles the topic of infallibility well Given its sensitivity it would have been better if he summarised his arguments in points at the end of the chapter It is worth noting his choice of term zallat is what Imam Abu Hanifa uses in al Fiqh al Akbar Also he seems to adopt the position of Imam Abu Mansur al Maturidi that Prophets despite being infallible are still tested. بشريت انبياءp pdf download Chapter 12 titled du a istighfar manajat isti adha looks at a specific aspect of servitude It s another gem that again wonderfully illustrates the human condition of our Prophets Prophethood was no walk in the park The last chapter mukhalafat takdhib wa iza goes at great lengths to show the extent to which Prophets had to endure opposition 177 verses as noted above They were ridiculed discriminated against threatened abused beaten and even killed Again none of this degrades the Prophets in the eyes of the reader in anyway nay in fact and to the contrary one grows tenfold in admiration and respect Daryabadi is a literary figure noted for his clarity and smooth prose The style of writing in this book is definitely not his best Yes he maintains aspects of his theatrical presence and gives some solid liners There are some colloquial phrases and expressions about which I m not sure if non Awadhi readers will fully grasp or appreciate especially given that Mufti Taqi of all people takes up Daryabadi on one such usage in his review of Daryabadi s tafsir See his tabsiray The reality is that writers appreciate colloquialisms and are not as likely to discriminate diversity is celebrated in languages It s a bit like a Southerner criticising a Scouse or Geordie for his Liverpudlian or Tyneside expressions It doesn t work At times I felt his literary license produced mouthfuls that made browsing through the book a prolonged affair than it should have been Definitely not as smooth and crisp as his better known works. بشريت انبياء epub download Overall the book does spectacularly well in addressing the book title the human disposition of Prophets and meets his desired goal It is a unique contribution in Urdu literature given its theme Recommend it. بشريت انبياء book1 May Allah bring the author untold peace and tranquility May He fill is grave with nur elevate his status unite us together with Prophets deliver us from the perils of the Hereafter especially the Inferno and grant us entry into Heaven For a person to have apostated during his student days and who in those days wrote a thesis criticising Prophets the work is now proscribed to have produced such a gem as this what else is one to do other than marvel at Allah s creation and plans All praise is to Allah Subhana al ladhi khalaq wa abda
