He must follow the skin suit wearing old lady through the Deadside to find a way to release Alyssa There are some pretty nasty surprises along the way revealing some haunting incidents from both Alyssa and Jack s pasts In the end we learn the truth behind what the old lady really is and what exactly Jack must do to free Alyssa from a future of being trapped within her own body as nothing than a spectator I really enjoyed Follow Me Boy I can t really think of anything bad to say about it I thought the length was perfect I don t think it would have had the same impact as a full length story It has some underlying messages that are good things for people to be reminded of in the way they treat one another.

I have been told this book was based on a comic but I have not heard of it that did not matter as this was a really good. Follow Me boykin On her way to meet Jack for dinner Alyssa is accosted by an old woman who gives her a potion bottle While telling Jack about the incident she opens the bottle and unleashes the Follow Me Boy potion She then mindlessly takes off into the swamp leaving Jack no choice but to follow They arrive at a spooky run down plantation house where Jack is forced to watch a Voodoo ritual that leaves Alyssa possessed by the witch who performed it Night falls and he s able to transform into Shadowman and drag her into the land of the dead just before she escapes. Follow Me boygiri download With the help of his monkey guide Jaunty Jack and the witch in Alyssa s body travel through the underworld where they confront their nightmares and discover secrets about their pasts Their journey includes some typical Dawson flourishes like a creepy carnival and even a Bludbunny cameo I really enjoyed this version of the underworld along with the Voodoo elements and how Jack grew to understand Alyssa as well as some events from his own past I may even read some Shadowman. Follow Me boygenius tour I won this book in a Facebook contest 70 I found out only later that there are many Shadowman books based on the comic book character that I was totally ignorant of written by many different authors I blundered across this following Delilah Dawson and thought it was a standalone or first of a new series Instead I stumbled in during the middle of the show and lacked all the experience to understand the background The ties that should have been intriguing and heartwarming were merely incredibly divergent and confusing Research before you plunge in as I did 70 Horror voodoo and a touch of ZenJohn s girlfriend gets a bottle of Follow Me voodoo perfume thrust into her hands She then unfortunately opens it At that moment she becomes partially possessed by a vengeful Loa and calling out follow me to John he is forced to obey This leads both into a horror filled trip to a crumbling New Orleans mansion and also into both their deepest nightmares as they travel through the Darkside. Book follow my leader Reminds me of the Simon Green Nightside series in the build up of horrific encounters in a area that is beside the normal world A special area that contains the darkness that humans try to avoid In this series John Boniface is a fighter against the evils that threaten when he turns into Shadowman as night falls and he is ridden by a powerful Loa of justice Great series and lovely atmospheric descriptions of the swamp nightmares rotting corpses and other horror elements 70 I can t say I ve ever read a book based on a comic before It s not anything intentional I like comics I just never really thought to look for books about them When I heard that Delilah S Dawson was coming out with a novella based on the Shadowman comic I just knew it was something I would be interested in I ve never read Shadowman I ve heard of it but never actually read it Now I am really considering it At no point did I ever feel lost for not having read Shadowman There are references that I probably would have understood better if I had but overall the story was clear and I was still able to understand what was going on with the characters and their personalities based on the clues in the story If anything this story gave me just enough information to make me interested and want to look further into the Shadowman comic to find out exactly what is going on with him In Follow Me Boy Alyssa is placed under a Follow Me Boy Voodoo spell and finds herself being possessed by a body snatching swamp witch who wants to live forever and by jumping bodies is able to do just that Once her old body wears out she just finds a new one to take over Apparently she s been doing this for quite a while and Alyssa s body seems to have caught her eye Luckily Jack has been able to take his Shadowman form just in time and pulls the body snatcher through to the Deadside where he has a better chance of being successful in his mission With the help of Jaunty a spirit type being called a loa who appears as a hat wearing capuchin monkey but the messages aren t pushy or in big bold letters screaming DO THIS NOW They are subtle which in my opinion is the way they should be When done this way the person gets the message and learns something without realizing they even did so I would and have recommend this story to pretty much anyone It s not a romantic story but we are introduced to the idea of a future romance between Alyssa and Jack Many times the books I read tend to have romance in them then most guys would be comfortable with This book was not like that It gave just a hint of something for the future but nothing that I think would make a guy cringe So I can recommend this story to guys as well which is a nice change haha There is a suggestion of something that is not necessarily appropriate for the younger audiences but it isn t something that is vulgarly worded or overly detailed so just be aware of that before you hand this story to your teenager 70 This is my first foray into the Kindle Worlds shared settings experiment and I m pretty pleased. Follow Me boyjedi The problem with this story is its brevity Most of the story is action oriented leaving background and the like to be filled in by info dump soliloquies I honestly ended up not particularly caring about any of the characters even though I was interested in how the story turned out. Follow me boys 1966 book I also felt like the stated motivations of the villain didn t make a lot of sense in the end Similarly the story depended on Alyssa who is not only aware that voodoo magic works and loa spirits exist but who is trained to fight and recognize them to open a strange bottle w clear indications that it s a potion of some kind She did this without taking any sorts of precautions in a knee jerk reaction because Jack said she shouldn t I don t know the characters that well but it felt pretty contrived, Book follow my leader Shadowman is a fun take on the superhero concept Jack Boniface is the horse of a powerful loa called the Shadowman who revenges evil. Follow Me boyjedi Follow Me Boy is the story of Jack trying to rescue his partner hopeful love interest Alyssa after she is ensnared by a voodoo potion called Follow Me Boy, Follow me boys song The story served as a decent introduction to the setting and mythos and was accessible to non enthusiasts without dumbing down the content. Follow Me boyflux meaning I may check out some Shadowman stories later on but this particular one wasn t a home run for me 70
