5 Stars From the moment I first read the first book in the Girls Wearing Black series I was intrigued I loved the world building characters mystery and clever plot While I truly enjoyed The Rose Ransom I do feel that Spencer Baum over reached in this book by rushing the story by providing way too many plots and subplots and bogging the book down with too many chess game references that basically were minutia.
