Kamari in english This book details the uncanny events that bring the main characters together establishing their varied backstories and the fascinating mythology behind the people of the Kalmari clan the shapeshifters and the various kinds of dragon kin The novel is well structured with a sizeable chapter per character it s offered in manageable chunks basically the continuity is good and I ll admit to devouring several chapters in one sitting If you re a fan of quirky humorous prose I definitely recommend this book So many authors can lose their voices in their efforts to get the prose out but Stilwell s style shines through marvellously bringing the wonders of her work to live And while there s comedy by the bucketload there s action as well and certain scenes are dealt with admirable and appropriate sensitivity Looking forward to the next book 9781490351063
