People laughed It was a delicious sound I had made people laugh out loud The editors talked positively about my submission I was sure if I mailed it to one of them and referenced the conference that I would be on my way to getting published at last Instead I waited nine months for a form rejection letter from the editor who had said that the audience s reaction to my story indicated that it was on target and well done. Dogs dogs dogs book So where did I go from this turning point Into self publishing and I have never looked back I m an independent person and hate having others control my fate That s a good temperment for a self publisher I m also very determined and no longer easily discouraged.
