While a little hard to follow good triumphs over evil Short Stories Biographies Memoirs Pseudo Philosophy I won the right to an early reading of Leif s novella and short stories via Goodreads I must say that this was my first attempt at a work of fiction with a distinctive small town or rural Canadian accent as it were A bit as I would imagine a younger guy might be thinking this is tone and content of the storytelling Not much attention to character development and detail One s happy that the main character in the longer piece Steve emerges from the hodge podge with his head still on his musculature and that his girlfriend Lisa has come out of her near death beating after a relatively short time lovely of body and bosom and able to receive Steve s sexual attentions Well a short bit of writing with an eye to the action movie producers That s my estimation here As I got into the writing style of the longer piece and the following shorter stories I did begin to cheer on the Canadian behind the keyboard you just have to tell me what you thought of one of the stories in particular Zack the Hunter which follows George the Barber Brrrr I had just finished a few polished and studied novels involving serial killers Short Stories Biographies Memoirs Pseudo Philosophy
This is a book containing a short Novella which is a story of a fictional small town and fictional family living in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia The main character seemingly has everything in life but then the unthinkable happens and until the story ends a personal struggle ensues as the main character wrestles with his demons and the desire for revenge that threatens to consume him After editing the story came up short and so I compiled four of my best short stories and added them in to the end making a read that one can savor for a good few weeks of happy reading Green Mountain Road and Selected StoriesI am currently working hard on getting my latest short story collection Voted Off the Crew into print What excites me about this book is that it tells so many key stories of my own life growing up in this amazing place called Alberta If you enjoy short stories please sign up for my online book launch and also sign up for my giveaway Check out my website for information about me and my writing.
