The romance did nothing for me The characters were a little boring and their interaction way too sweet and sappy This might be a good read for fantasy fans that like oversweet relationships 9781627980579 This is my fourth book by Madeleine Ribbon and I really like her writing style and her stories this one was no exception. It s so cute. Blessed Curses kindle reader The story deals with mainly Vaughn and David tentatively starting a relationship and how they manage to get around David s curse Vaughn was born with a suppression power that enables him to suppress anything that seems harmful to Vaughn There s also a few side conflicts such as how Vaughn tries to break David s curse but also deals with someone breaking into magical practitioner shops to steal a powerful herb so there s a bit of a mystery regarding that All together it is a little overwhelming and sometimes things go slightly too fast but it s still a fun read and I loved the way the author handled the conflict revolving around curing David s curse I think it fit the story very well. Blessed cursed enhypen release date Spoilerish Maybe Vaughn was a big question mark for me He s a magic enforcer and figuring out and reversing curses is like his thing like literally I know this because it s stated in the blurb and many times in the book many and yet he never tried to break or reverse the curse Shit it s like 3 months of dating before he even remembers to ask permission to look into David s files and another 2 or 3 before he actually tries to look into it at allMeh I was also disappointed that the rash of burglaries was so nearly wrapped up and over with without a big hitch other than Vaughn getting hurt I loved Cole but thought the big events in this book all ended up being rather uneventful 9781627980579 Rating 4 starsI had just noticed this book and was pleasantly surprised when my friend lent me her copy I enjoyed this story about Daniel who was cursed as a child and Vaughn who worked for the magical enforcers The heat level for most of the book was rather low and I liked that they really got to know each other before sex was on the table I liked how Vaughn was patient with David and never gave up on him despite how prickly he could be I felt sorry for David and was glad that he was able to get his HEA in the end I also liked the side story of Cole and hope the author writes his story soon Overall a really good book 9781627980579 Madeleine Ribbon lives on the outskirts of Balti.

Uninspired fluff with little world building the cursed MC David was a petulant child I was never sure what Vaughn saw in him There wasn t enough tension in the story to make it interesting and the last chapter came out of nowhere Steam content was medium with one explicit scene 9781627980579 I read this blurb and just knew it would be my kind of story I mean a cursed sorcerer and another one falling for him But with a curse that literally repels people what can ever come of it The very beginning had me falling in love with little David I have kids very close in age so the rivalry and jealousy that Todd had for his little brother was understandable and instead of fists these kids use magic Havoc ensues The story then skips to the here and now and honestly I would have loved to have seen a little of how difficult it was for David growing up and how he managed it all. Blessed cursed enhypen release date No one can stand to be near him for than a little while only Todd can touch him just being in his vicinity elicits fear and dread in everyone I can imagine it school and family but I would have liked to have been there with David for a little bit of that Vaughn Moore works for Arcana he s an enforcer in the government agency responsible for magical accidents and crimes. Kindle Blessed curses sea This was a cute story about David who was cursed as a boy by his jealous brother to inspire irrational fear in anyone or anything that gets close to him He s lived twenty years with this curse in which only his brother could withstand his company for than a few minutes At his brother s wedding he meets Vaughn the bride s best friend who works as an enforcer at Arcana which is like the police for all types of magical crimes and such Vaughn loves puzzles so he loves breaking curses When he meets David with the intention of helping to break his curse it s lust at first sight instead David s lived years feeling lonely so he has a hard time thinking Vaughn wants him for than just as a chance to cure the Impossible Kid as Arcana has nicknamed David To be with David Vaughn has to prove his love but in the process will he be able to cure David I ve got to say I absolutely adored David The life he s lived is so sad and lonely I couldn t help but feel sorry for him To live decades with a curse that not only affects others but you as well must be brutal and because of that he s a bit jaded and confused when Vaughn shows interest in him At the same time he s this cute little nerd that has so many layers to him It s hard for me to describe Vaughn I couldn t clearly visualize the way he looks but he has a strong personality that seems genuine I loved the way he handled David and how he tries to woe him I loved the endearment he calls David I missed the fact that time wasn t spent on Vaughn physically looking for answers to the curse I wish the story was just a tad bit longer because I would have loved to see Vaughn and David out as a couple and not just secluded in their homes To experience them in a public setting would have legitimized the feelings between the two for me. Enhypen blessed cursed spotify All in all this was a light that is what immediately drew me into the story when I picked it up We first see David as a young boy He s completely jealous of his older brother Todd by one year Todd has magic than David David can only do Blessings not Curses and Charms like Todd and just about everyone else in the magical world And Todd has friends When Todd goes away to a magical camp one summer where David cannot follow David finds that despite what his brother told him Todd s friends are happy to play with him But when Todd comes home to see David with his friends he get s jealous and in a typical move towards his younger brother he curses him Only this time David tries to protect himself with a blessing and the combination of the magic creates what will become known among the magical world as the impossible curse and David as The Impossible Kid. Cursed blessing tiny rogues David feels the curse himself He s uncomfortable full of fear and feels the creepy crawly feeling across his whole body But that doesn t compare to how other people feel in his proximity The closer they get the they want to run away the they re afraid of him And because of that impossibility of touch and interaction with all except for his brother Todd who is immune as the curse caster and subsequently has devote his life to his care because of his guilt David has lived a life devoid of physical affection even from his own parents Those who take the time to brave their discomfort and get to know David fall in love with him He s shy and awkward around people because of his curse and his lack of experience relating to others. PDF Blessed curses David still has his magic and though he feels it s rather lackluster in relation to so many other people s gifts he admits that he has a real talent for Blessings It is when he s fulfilling his promise to be in attendance of his brother Todd s wedding and to bless the cake for the couple that he meets Vaughn He s confident sexy intelligent and talented and David has no idea what Vaughn sees in him other than the challenge of breaking his curse Nevertheless Vaughn can t seem to stay away from David While it started out as a professional interest Vaughn finds that the man himself is intriguing than the horrible curse he bears Getting David a man who has never received any kind of positive attention from another handsome gay man to realize that David is worth than his curse looks to be almost as challenging as finding a counter to the curse itself But the time that Vaughn spends getting to know David wooing him in baby steps the whole way the important it is to him to find a way to keep David for good. Blessed cursed release date I liked this novella but I think that it mostly only kept my interest because of it s length It s short enough that when my initial interest which covered the first few chapters and maybe the first 25% of the book started to wane there wasn t a whole lot left to read I won t say that it turned me off in any way but I did feel like the book stalled a bit and it never really regained the magic even until the end The premise of the book is really interesting but once the initial meeting between David and Vaughn at the wedding finished they went into a long and slow courtship because of David s fear of forging a connection with someone who he believed would ultimately be turned away by the curse It made sense for the characters but it slowed down the pace somewhat That bulk of the story was really only driven by the internal conflict And I hate to say it but for me that really slow courtship which was much like friendship killed the passion I m not sure why I reacted this way because I usually am a big fan of the slow burn I think that s why I slowly lost some interest in their relationship I didn t feel the burn in the slow burn. Blessings or curses There is a side plot throughout the story Over the months of their courtship is a small mystery keeping the two on their toes Someone what seems to be a scrawny kid is trying to break in and steal a blessed plant from magical shops around town and is quite good at escaping capture The plant in question is only used for suppressing magic which leads David to believe that someone might be cursed similarly to him and hoping to stop it s effects Vaughn who works for the Magical Enforcement department of Arcana the magical government is involved with the case This side plot could have remedied the problems that I had diverting the focus to something else to drive the plot forward But ultimately while the conclusion was interesting in it s own way I didn t feel like it carried the story through those parts.
