For your eyes only book pdf That s only the first of the series of accidental encounters between John and Willa that take place throughout the book usually at the most inopportune times The strength of their mutual attraction is never in doubt but as one would expect of a couple of individuals who have a few decades of life experience under their belts they re both carrying around a bit of baggage and everything is further complicated by the fact that not only is Willa unable to tell John the truth about why she s back in Los Alamos trading quips and pop culture references as though they d known each other for a while But although they both came into focus fairly quickly the suspense plot didn t it took a while for that to get going and for me to really understand what was going on I also didn t really get the relationship between Willa and her teenaged step daughter who steals from her vandalises her car and generally treats her like shit or rather I don t understand why it was included as the book would have worked equally well without it It felt rather as though it had been included just to add yet another item onto Willa s pile of baggage. Suspense for your eyes only book John and Willa are likeable intelligent and attractive people who stumble into love unexpectedly at a time when both of them are starting to wonder if maybe they ve missed the boat and are going to spend the rest of their lives alone John is a genuinely nice guy kind funny a bit of a dork and ready to wait for Willa if that s what it takes and Willa is a sassy competent woman who embraces her white hair it s been that way since she was twenty two and the intense sexual attraction she feels towards John She s perhaps the well defined of the pair but they work well as a couple despite a bit of out of character behaviour from John towards the end. It took me a little while to get into For Your Eyes Only and I couldn t work out why All the elements I usually love were there The setting was awesome The lady protagonist Willa has a kickass job as a physicist and is playing detective and the hero John was believable and a not a little yummy in his own detective role. For your eyes only ebook review So what was preventing me from roaring through the pages Well I finally worked out what was stopping me Ms Antonelli is being sneaky with the rules just a little bit and since I d just finished a run of traditional romance novels I wasn t expecting it Once I finally realized what was going on made myself a cup of tea and kicked back to enjoy enjoy was exactly what I did A lot For Your Eyes Only features two mature attractive and funny protagonists instead of thirty somethings It s got a setting that s a little out of the norm and it doesn t dumb down the details with the protagonist s jobs See what I mean Breaking the rules a tiny bit I m still smiling as I type I like the little bit of crazy in this book that fleshed it out making it fun I loved the banter and the emotional depth had me a little teary over my toast. For your eyes only one direction 5 out of 5As I skate down the slope towards the latter half of my thirties I m finding it quite awesome to read romances where the hero and heroine are older and hold life experience What I particularly enjoy is when the author portrays these people as they are regular people with needs and desires who just happen to have less of their original hair colour among the greys Starting with her previous book A Basic Renovation and now with For Your Eyes Only Sandra Antonelli is fast becoming my go to gal for the silver fox hero and heroine. For your eyes only trailer I ll start off by saying I do love a quirky older character as much as the next person but I love that in this book even though the characters are older than 40 they are not written as diddery or interfering or pining away for their lost youth. Contemporary for your eyes only meaning John and Willa have got to be two of my favourite main characters from any book in 2013 John and his complete lack of skill at mimickry and penchant for singing tween pop music immediately brings my own dear hubby to mind where every accent ends up sounding South African I loved that despite him being a complete sweetheart John was no soft touch Willa was wonderfully different she embraced her white hair and her synaesthesia and she is fabulously witty.
