5 s for pure enjoyment I don t know what it is about Jenny Colgan s books but they are such a joy to read Last year I read Rosie Hopkins Sweetshop and became so attached to the characters and charming village I definitely recommend reading the books in order I ve already put an order for the 3rd book The Christmas Surprise to read over the holidays Romance Contemporary Chick Lit Ok I m going to be honest I didn t really want to read this My mum bought me as an attempt to get me in the holiday spirit and I read it out of thanks So after going into this book with extremely low expectations I can say I was pleasantly surprised I mean obviously it wasn t a literary masterpiece but unlike other modern books it wasn t trying to be which I appreciated.
