This Young Adult novel caught my eye with the issues at work in the middle east The novel is based on the experiences of the author in the late 70s just before the Shad was deposed when literacy was improved and women had many rights. File pdf online escape A young woman goes to Iran to visit her dad over summer vacation while he is working as an archeology consultant During the visit she must save her father who is imprisoned and accused of treason The novel paints an interesting and scary picture of living in a foreign land during a regime change Fiction Historical Fiction Science Fiction This is a very well written book The author did an excellent job in developing the characters The rate at which the plot moves along is outstanding The heroine finds herself in the middle of a revolution in Iran when she goes there to visit her father who is an archeologist I don t want to give away any of the plot but imagine finding youself in a country like Iran during the period of time the book was written and trying to escape especially with an injured father and no papers I found myself holding my breath near the end I was so afraid that they wouldn t get out and I m not saying whether they do or they don t You have to read the book I highly recommend it Fiction Historical Fiction Science Fiction
