Good but not one of my favorites of this author Paperback Woeful Paperback The cover of this edition is very pretty I just had to share that The story was good and I was glad when I saw that the heroine wasn t a total doormat The hero was a jerk at times but he was also nice which made him torelable The only thing I didn t like was one Greek phrase which was written wrong For me this book wasn t a typical Harlequin which made my reading experience better Paperback 2. Tiny miracle's tiny miracle I was somewhat let down and disappointed with this story Let me preface this by saying that although I have not suffered PTSD myself I have a fairly decent understanding of the disorder and am familiar with the horrors and ravages of war death and devastation But I have to conclude that no matter how horrific the trauma was for Nikos the way he talked to and treated Stephanie was inexcusable He was despicable and did not deserve her for one second He hated how his father s false accusations towards his mother affected the whole family s relationships and yet he turns around and does the same thing WTH A quick rundown Nikos aka Dev and Stephanie met while on vacation and had ten glorious days together falling deeply in love He could not give her his true identity because he was a Navy SEAL He was called away from his vacation on a secret mission and didn t tell her goodbye but did send her some flowers She was devastated that he left with no word or contact information Shortly after the mission began he was very seriously wounded and the doctors thought he would not walk again even holding her prisoner She became a doormat and it was a bit sickening I like my women strong and although she had strength as a person she was a weakling when it came to him She took the blame for everything There were so many apologies and none from him For this reader the ending was too little too late.
