Marrying the cowboytoast The only part it really made sense in was Skyler worrying about what she was eating in Having the Cowboy s Baby because she was EXACTLY the kind of rigid uptight controlled character who would obsess about everything she ate So it fit But we still had to deal with the ha ha pregnant women are fat thing In this book and in India s book it just annoyed me and made me angry It depresses me when no character can eat food without making some remark about fat To be clear no one in the books is actually fat It s just a constant self monitoring self insulting and friend monitoring and friend insulting that IRL would make me end these friendships because they are toxic. How to marry a cowboy I didn t understand the romance at all I didn t understand why Elissa suddenly starts lusting after Pete after being best friends with him for 10 years Then they spend half the novel pretending like they were NOT attracted to each other for some reason which was a huge waste of time Then they start kissing fucking dating secretly Then they break up for a completely cockamamie reason that makes little to no sense Really for no other reason than Milburn needs to have a break up scene so they can make up at the end HOW S THE SEX CARMEN A surprising bright spot Pete was competent in bed I mean this was no Blaze but I was happy with the way he chose to have first time sex with Elissa His subsequent sex scenes weren t that great but at least the first one was decent Good job I was afraid he was going to be another Logan hero from Having the Cowboy s Baby Neither Liam nor Logan seemed interested in anything other than PinV sex but Pete takes the time to eat Elissa out to climax before having PinV sex with her That is single handedly raising the rating of this book So to recap Pete the unassuming small town Deputy Sheriff and country boy is better in bed than the rake who has slept with 100s of women Of all three women Elissa is the one who ends up with the one who is best in bed Wildly unfair IMO.
