A light and enjoyable read overall although it does not contain the blazing heat that the blurb touts 9780373797837 It was just kind of meh I was looking forward to the amnesia but it still wasn t enough to hold my attention I found myself skimming a lot towards the middle It also seemed weird that she completely changed personalities with her temporary amnesia Changed how she wanted to look dress decorate She becomes girly I did enjoy the secondary romance between the sister and a firefighter on the heroine s team 9780373797837 Erin Riley nearly died fighting a fire and now she has no memory.

Contrary to its title this book is likely to be rather forgettable I got bored of the romance about 40% in as I wasn t really feeling Erin or Bo I mostly stuck out to see who was the culprit towards the fire While I actually didn t see the culprit coming the ending was kind of lame and didn t give the pay off I was hoping for Oh well 9780373797837 Unforgettable3 StarsSuffering from retrograde amnesia following a brain injury sustained in the line of duty former firefighter Erin Riley is desperate to remember the details of her life The answer comes out of the blue when Erin shares a kiss with Fire Marshal Bo Myers and recalls details of their prior relationship Is rekindling their romance the key to unlocking Erin s memories and does she hold the clues to catching a serial arsonist before he strikes again The premise has excellent potential but the romance leaves something to be desired mainly due to the problematic heroine Hunter really hits the nail on the head with her portrayal of Erin s amnesia Skillfully merging the cold hard medical facts with the emotional impact enables the reader to experience the pain fear and frustration that the heroine feels That said Erin is not the most likeable of characters She comes across as preoccupied with her own concerns and is selfishly willing to use Bo for her own needs only occasionally giving some thought to the effect the plan might have on him Bo on the other hand is a wonderful hero However one cannot help but feel that he could do better than Erin whose feelings do reach the same level of intensity as his do The minor suspense plot is the weakest element as it is completely underdeveloped and the final twist comes out of the blue Overall none at all except of her childhood Finally urged to get out and enjoy herself Erin encounters Bo Myers the fire marshal but doesn t remember him at all except she s having erotic dreams about him As they come into closer contact with each other socially Erin s memories are stirred but not triggered until one kiss started to open the floodgate of memories Bo felt he was taking advantage of Erin when she was most vulnerable but when fires are set that seemed to target firefighters they decided to work together to find the person responsible Will this help or hurt Erin A fascinating look at amnesia this story also gives us an insight into how dangerous firefighting is and the dangers they face Bo and Erin s story is a tender one too 9780373797837 This is one of the better freebies I ve read in a while It had a different plot that I don t see all that common in romance novels and it was a gentle read that immersed you in the author s world. Suspense unforgettable cast For me Unforgettable was unique because of Erin s amnesia Although I ve seen this before it s not common I liked watching her find herself and Bo again and thought things moved along at a steady pace The twist with the fires and mystery surrounding what was happening had me hooked.
