They re hiring themselves out to raise money so they can buy vintage horror props from an attraction that s going to close down Naturally chaos and hilarity ensue 240 Desmond is back I first fell in love with Desmond in Desmond Pucket Makes Monster Magic He is like the new generation of Dennis the Menace He keeps things entertaining I would not want to be on the receiving end of any of Desmond s pranks I love all of the pictures that are in these books They just add to the story I am happy that Desmond finally got to ride the Mountain Full of Monsters ride at Crab Shell Pier I know if this ride actually existed that my nephews would want to go on it I have been trying to get my nephews into reading My oldest nephew is 10 and Desmond Pucket Makes Monster Magic is the first book that he read non stop He was literally carrying it with him all over the place reading the book When he finished it.

Demond Pucket is at it again in this super cute story I love Tatulli s style of using pencil sketches as though Desmond is drawing them to help tell the story It really keeps the reader engaged This is a perfect book for kids in grades 3 6 Desmond has had a note written to the love of his life Tina for at least a year asking her to ride with him on the Mountain Full of Monsters After a few antics with the school bully and the school discipline officer Desmond and Tina and his best friend Ricky and Becky are finally in line for the ride Unfortunately instead of ending up on the ride with Tina Mr Needles the SD officer ditches in line trying to get ahold of Desmond and ends up screaming in terror during the whole ride Once off the ride Desmond and Ricky notice this is the last summer for the ride they are closing it down forever and building a new roller coaster in its place Desmond is very upset and comes up with a scaring business for kids to pay to have their little brothers and sisters scared for a price in order to raise money to save the monsters from the ride Many funny things and other antics occur including Desmond getting detained by Mr Needles and discovering a secret of his past You have to read to find out what happens Thank you to ALA and author Mark Tatulli for the ARC of this funny book 240 Desmond Pucket and the Mountain Full of Monsters is the second book in this series for kids and this time around Desmond is still making monster magic It s a hybrid book and graphic novel and I loved it.
