Looking Pretty In Piano CityI m an inherently slow reader so I finished this book in two sittings you can probably finish it in one I suppose the seven pieces in this collection might be considered prose poems They are surreal and dreamlike in their imagery lyrical in their execution Honey be it dripping from the moon or the vagina of a giantess features prominently in the book as do donkey masks and donkey heads From what I gather there are intertextual references in these stories to Jordan Krall s book Beyond the Valley of the Apocalypse Donkeys which I haven t read yet but you don t need to get those references to enjoy Bouthiette s prose Looking Pretty in Piano City is a strong debut from a talented writer Looking Pretty In Piano City Dynatox Ministries has finally hit the Kindle and it just isn t as impressive as actually owning the print version These are Hugh quality books that don t translate well on the Kindle It does give people an opportunity to check out the Dynatox brand so the first Dynatox e book has a lot riding on it Looking Pretty In Piano City is a poetic bizarro hybrid that grabs your attention right from the first story There are quite a few passages I wanted to read out loud due to the fact that they flowed so well There are also a couple of stories that tie into the Apocalypse Donkey mythos so fans of Jordan Krall will have an interest in checking this out as well Only peeve I had was its length A book this good shouldn t be this damn short Looking Pretty In Piano City
