Excellentdebut I say debut because after enjoying this book so much I did extensive research on the author that came up empty handed Well except for the fact that EVERYONE who read this book gave it 5 stars I will be chomping at the bit waiting for her next on the beautifuly written characters that pulled on my heart strings Paperback I add my own 5 star rating for this awesome book Paperback I came across a positive review of this novel on the Historical Novel Society s website so decided to give it a try What a great read Wonderful characters a rich historical setting excellent pacingrecommended I hope people discover this book Paperback Engaging novel about the end of the fourteenth century in England Ms Finn takes Dame Julyana Berners the first woman whose works were printed in English and creates a very readable and believable story about her The novel moves quickly and the story captured my attention Paperback I am in the middle of this wonderful book which dives into not so Merry Old England at a time when the Old Religion is still present in the countryside A combination of well researched history with a touch of feminism this book is an excellent read I can t wait to read the next two parts of the trilogy Paperback
