Since 2009 The Horror Zine has published exceptional horror fiction by emerging talent and today s leading authors Editor Jeani Rector selects only the most inventive and captivating tales for each issue In addition to short fiction The Horror Zine features horror themed poetry and artwork Now The Horror Zine brings you the dark delights from the ezine into a print magazine The Horror Zine Magazine Fall 2013What a great read I have been a huge fan of The Horror Zine since I found A Feast of Frights The editor Jeani Rector is amazing at putting together these amazing anthologies the online magazine and now the actual magazine I picked up a Kindle version of this and I m glad I did The magazine starts with a bang by one of my favorite new writer s Shaun Meeks His story Angel in the High Tower is a bit different than his usual work The emotional element in this is strong And by far this is one of the strongest stories in the set Yet it is not the only must read here Every single story in the collection though many of these writers are new to me are great Some real stand outs are Glen Singer Joseph Rubas Liana Vrajitoru Andreasen John B Kachuba and Tim Jeffreys There are also some great poems I especially liked the ones by Max Booth III and some amazing art If you ve never read anything by The Horror Zine before this is a great place to start 200 I ve read some of The Horror Zine anthologies and when I saw the magazine I had to get it This is much smaller than any of the anthologies but it s still packed with some great fiction and poetry It starts off with the best story in the set Shaun Meeks Angel in the High Tower but the flow and quality never falters once As far as poetry goes there are some strange and quirky ones my favorite of them being the one by Max Booth III 200
