Love or lust meaning I rated this book 3 stars The book was well written great format Its basically the day and the life of 2 teenage girls trying to figure out who they are There wasn t really any excitement to this book just normal teenage stuff I do get what the author was trying to accomplish here but I would have liked to see of a story line versus just every day life English The story is exactly as described in the description The two high school freshmen fall in love at first sight and the book is about them questioning whether it s really love or if it s just lust and the complications they experience at things like a school dance due to being homosexual. Love or lust meaning All in all a very good book I had a very hard time trying to figure out the age of the girls The way they spoke and there actions were very inconsistent One moment behaving as if they were 12 the next they act like they are in their 20s An example when Lauren goes to speak with her current boyfriend she tells him that their relationship hasn t felt right to her for the past year and that all she knows is she is not in love with him That s all good but then we learn that Lauren is 14 Yep 14 I also had an issue with the extent of the religious talk Based on Lauren s religious background she is concerned with how God will view her relationship if said relationship is based on love or lust She never once seems concerned about the fact that it s a gay relationship Guess God is okay with that I m all about the gay love but these girls where 14 and the over the top uber insta love was just too much for me Within like an hour of meeting had already professed their love for one another Nope couldn t do it Would love to read about some girls hooking up but not when they are 14makes me feel icky English
