Mark Parker is the founder publisher and managing editor of Scarlet Galleon Publications a small press publishing company that specializes in horror and dark speculative fiction. Way of the witch d2 For Randall and Justin summer on Sassaquin Pond is business as usualRandall with his paper routeand Justin kicking his battered old can That is until both boys encounter the old woman they believe to be a witch Neither boy can confirm or deny their suspicion but then all three lives are inextricably drawn together by a single event that changes everything Who would have guessed that a mere childhood prank would have such dire consequences WAY OF THE WITCH is an exploration into the minds and hearts of two lifelong friendsAnd the solitary shame that will bind them in dark and dangerous ways Way of the Witch The Witch Saga 1 It was as if the planets themselves had all aligned incorrectly at the moment of the witch s creation giving her an undeniably incongruent look wherever she went For young Randall 13 delivering newspapers around Sassaquin Pond is an exciting time Earning money taking responsibilities spending time with his best friend Justin watching the old woman the two boys believe to be a witch But after a moment of youthful defiance the old woman s gaze falls upon them These two friends begin to grow up and grow apart Randal regrets the actions of that day but Justin seems to be taking it a bit harder Is it the influence of the witch or a heavy conscious weighing down on their shoulders I dug Way of the Witch Mr Parker builds a nice sense of youthful nostalgia Randall and Justin are well defined characters and you the reader are drawn in to their soul defining summer And it s a big tease Mr Parker takes his time telling you about the events of the day and I for one am chomping at the bit to see where these events lead. Ebook way of the witch book 2 Is the old woman really a witch or do these boys have a hyperactive imagination I know how I feel about this.
