Slinger kinderkamer The chapters are fairly short which adds to the fast pace of the book and certainly kept me turning pages The action is almost constant though there are some nice moments between this where I felt like I got to know some of the characters a bit better There are also several chillingly vivid and quite gruesome scenes of horror The tension is building up very nicely I found it a nail biting read particularly when it got close the end because I was dying to find out what was going to happen at the big concert I knew it wasn t going to be in this book it s obvious as there s a third book still to come but the build up was just so suspenseful and I really cannot wait to see how it all ends. The singer lobo Picks up directly where The Rock Star leaves off and pulls some of the side stories together but the climax does not come in this book I am still mystified enough to keep reading even though it verges on too convoluted at times Paperback The fact that this is a middle book is apparent from the outset but The Empire Strikes Back was also a middle film and some call it the best of the all the Star Wars films so don t hold that middle book thing against this one because it s a pretty good book The Rock Star started a whole lot of story lines with a whole lot of characters so there are a whole lot of balls up in the air as this one starts and Soper hit s the ground running from the gruesome death that happens in chapter one Soper doesn t stop there he keeps pushing forth with the action till it hit s its peak with what I will call the Aleksei Moment which is both surprising and satisfying There are some story lines that end in this book but there are still others to be resolved in the third and final book of the Rock Series called The Stage which after the first two books I m really looking forward to I would highly recommend this book if you enjoy thrillers but caution you that there are some pretty intense scenes in it Paperback
