Ouroboros science fiction fantasy pdf
This was a very quick and entertaining read The author had the characters down and it was just like watching a very entertaining episode The alternate Atlantis was interesting and was wishing to learn about it at the end The ending seemed slightly rushed and not explained very well but that seems normal on a lot of sci fi books But was still satisfying 264 A great read Normally I am not a fan of the alternate reality storylines as they make my head hurt but this one was the exception It was fast paced and interesting and it is always great to have a story that includes the Atlantis team too 264 I read these Stargate books for fun but a review still seemed appropriate I was excited to read this book since it had to do with Janus and one of his inventions However the book barley spoke about the device itself and the story is of a what if SG 1 was there for the Rising episode of Atlantis That in itself was interesting but the build up took far too long and all of seemingly important parts happened in a page or so I would skip this one for some interesting Stargate books 264 This was a very enjoyable read and super quick It s a little like a Well what if SG 1 went to Atlantis in Rising AU but very interesting Alternate Atlantis was fascinating and I would love to read about that world it s so interesting to see how different choices and different circumstances affected various characters while still being true to who they are The character voices are very good The story and action is generally paced very well though things do sort of get glossed over fall flat right near the end I suspect the author was right up against either her word count or her deadline and had to wrap up quickly but all in all a very good read 264 Good readReally a 3. Ouroboros novel 75 overall Good story brings in Atlantis from another timeline with their inherit problems and keeps me interested throughout A solid sg1 story tho not a great adventure nor strong character development or insight as some of the very best I d like character and emotional development otherwise good read 264
Set during Season 8 SG 1 and Jack find a device built by Janus and as with all of his devices things don t always go as planned Good solid entry in the Stargate series 264 I like AU crossovers This one is good because of Zelenka he s my favourite and it s nice to see him taking a heroic active leadership role but bad because of how many times they have Teal c saying indeed Yes it s his catch phrase but he doesn t say it that often 264 I m conflicted about this book On one hand I really liked the AU Atlantis scenario on the other hand this setting didn t feel right for SG1 and having Teal c meet a different version of Ronon back in season 8 way before he meets real Ronon just seemed wrong at this stage NO ONE had met Ronon And most of the book was dedicated to the AU shenanigans instead of Janus and his Ouroboros machine. Ff16 ouroboros gear But I still enjoyed the book despite these many annoyances 264 2022 52 Book Challenge 31 Technology ThemedI always love when the SG1 team meet the Atlantis team and I always struggle a lot with the SG1 books than with the Atlantis ones and I quite liked the alternate timeline they went to kind of a mix of what if the Atlantis Expedition was run by the military or never managed to make the City rise I also liked the way that Ford was characterised because this book hit the exact feelings on why I really didn t like Ford in the tv show because he came across as quite opportunistic in his actions. Ouroboros tattoo meaning And while I liked most of the book there were a couple aspects that I didn t really think needed to be in the book such as Ronon He doesn t really play a part in the book and it feels quite pointless him actually being involved It throws the book out a little because he s completely different to how Ronon is in the tv series I know it s an alternate reality but he wasn t really recognisable as the same character I also wish that the book had been a little bit longer because it was like the book was warring between two plots I personally found the Atlantis storyline interesting but it was an SG1 book and they felt vaguely sidelined in their own story The Ouroboros device only really featured in a couple chapters at the beginning and end of the book and it s literally what the book is about 264 Very cool I always like when SG 1 meets the Atlantis team That this adventure took place in a different timeline made it a little spicier The Wraith were there of course The coolest moment was the prisoner exchange the Young Queen for Daniel It was weird having Ronan in the story without him having his original story In this one he was not a Runner Merely a captive of Colonel Sumner and his minions who were hopped up on Wraith enzymes All in all fun 264
When Dr Daniel Jackson discovers the location of a lost Ancient laboratory the temptation to investigate proves impossible to resistIn the lab he uncovers a powerful device a prototype technology designed by the Ancient inventor Janus to supersede the Stargate network But when the Ouroborus device accidentally activates it strands General O Neill and his team on a dangerous new world where friends are not always friends and a terrible enemy is stirring.
