Private Eye Bob Roosevelt still unable to find the love of his life decides he will move to Phoenix and take up golf What better way to find a lady who will love him His Guardian Angel tells Roosevelt he is dumber than a rock and love is not all it is made out to be Once again ignoring good advice Roosevelt ends up in Phoenix But what does he find on his first day on the golf course Not pars and birdies but a dead lady with a rope around her neck cops so crooked they walk backwards gangsters who like drinks with umbrellas in them a bank robbery turned very very bad and women who make Dracula look like a good guy Laugh your way through another escapade of our off center world while trying to solve who did it I bet you can t until the final page Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3 I ve been stepping outside my comfort zone lately as I find little to read in my favored genre This time I went way outside the fantasy genre to paranormal murder mystery and I am phenomenally excited that I did The next 3 books I buy will be the remainder of this series I loved everything about this story including the love searching ex hippie to his starchy but lecherous guardian angel I hated putting this book down when life came tromping through as it often does What s I can honestly say that with a whole list of bad guys and suspects I had no idea what happened until the end though I did have 1 suspicion that turned out be true Overall an amazing story with incredible lively characters that I really enjoyed From someone that is seldom satisfied by the paranormal murder mystery genre I give it the highest praise Well done Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3 DOUBLE BOGEY MURDER is the third in the Bob Roosevelt series and once again it s a great book Finally deciding that trout fishing is out Bob heads to spend the winter playing golf in Arizona Although his guardian angel tells him to turn back lest he find himself knee deep in murder corruption and possible death he ignores him Once there Roosevelt plays a good game of golf and Pea Brain s predictions come to pass Now faced with the prospect of another murder to solve it seems that everyone in town wants him out killed or off the case. Double Bogey murderfist Swisher Jr has once again written an awesome book believable with sarcasm a plenty and many clues that do not connect together until the final chapters You ll want to go along for the ride and be sure to try and pick out which of the likely and even unlikely suspects is responsible for the death of Gloria and which ones also want Roosevelt dead as well Another great one and will be reading the next in the series as soon as possible Recommended to all who love a good mystery with a loveable PI who is just looking for him meaning in life and a woman to love Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3 Robert K Swisher Jr has done it again with his Bob Roosevelt detective series I had already read Trout Fishing for Bodies and it is safe to say that I enjoyed this mystery every bit as much as I did that one The main character is an aging hippie who is still looking for the great love of his life and who is also both helped and hurt along the way by his guardian angel a raunchy monk from the middle ages apparently trying to work off a bad former life by at least trying to do good at this new job a kind of perverse take off on Clarence in It s A Wonderful Life The books begins with Roosevelt deciding to relax and reinvigorate his golf game but before he has a chance to lose money in a skins game he hits a ball into the rough and discovers that it has come to rest between the two perfect breasts of a murdered beauty And off we go To his credit Roosevelt takes a drop but does not lose a stroke Lots of suspects lots of clues and lots of acerbic commentary on that makes this such a great country as the plot proceeds to its conclusion Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3 working on an edit Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3 I regret finishing this book right before I went to sleep The ending was so twisted shocking and haunting in a way that it left me shaking in my boots long after the final page This was the second book I ve read by Swisher and I definitely wasn t disappointed Another great mystery that kept me wondering who the killer was right up until the last page And then BAM He throws a twist so crazy that you ll be utterly shocked I will recommend this book to mystery lovers and will keep on reading works by this author Well done Double Bogey Murder Bob Roosevelt 3
